I have released a set of ground tiles with a winter theme.

The zipfile is 44kb, compared to the patcher, whitch is less stable and 2.5mb. I was just testing the patcher, I advise against using it. I would like opinions, criticisim and comments. The other thred is for non-winter related requests. Also I would like Martins opinion if he ever reads this. It wouldnt hurt to translate this thread to german too.

You know, these seasons could even effect trades. Like crops wouldn't grow very well in winter so you would only get 2 or so crops even if you were a grand master farmer. But if you farmed in spring you would get like 4 crops if you are a grand master farmer. Or like certain fish are caught at certain seasons.
But ya, I love the graphics. And i love the ideas. And I love how you added Movement Money and stuff and not GreenBriar

Err. All it is so far is ground tiles. There will be multiple downloads. Oh, and the link is funny, i'm fixing it no so you can download the zipfile.

Winter in illa this is awesome! though you need to add like a tree graphic with snow soon

Oh, yeah, and i cant modify the games mechanics, that is handled in the core code, and the server, I can just change graphical elements. I hope this adds a little more realism to winter roleplay. And i hope its not to confusing for people without the graphics, but I sure hope everyonw gets it.

I think the "snow" you see in Silverbrand is acualy just frost from the cold air efecting the moisture on the floor .

uhm, and of course ya have a lot of frost in a workshop with 4 oven? and don't think silverbrand haven't any heating. we have the only real coalsource on the isle. do ya think we use coal just for smithing? silverbrand isn't cold, it is warm. because of our ovens and our fireplaces.

Doesn't stone remain warm during the winter, anyway?

I was trying to freeze the dwarves out of their home, well, oops....i'll fix it, and just delete the cavefloor file...yeah well its just that cavefloor is the mountian graphic i think. So err yeah. Well, ill fix it with the frosty tree Update. AND THER WILL BE A FEW ODDITIES, INCLUDING UNDERGROUND BUILDINGS.
