Grubba finds himself ambushed by a large red figure in the woods. The figure slashes at him with a large sword, and it slashes through his armor. Blood flows from his chest at an extreme rate. The figure thrusts it's sword towards Grubba and he jumps out of the way just in time, but a little slow. The sword hits his leg and breaks it. Grubba lifts his warhammer towards the beast but he is in too much pain to strike it. Darkness takes him........

Grubba wakes up just out of town. He makes his way to Northerot and finds Jonathan Hamlet and Kruuba. He gets them to take him there, so they do. He reaches the castle of Northerot and enters. Slowly he climbs the stairs and walks towards the throne. Grubba believes that the evil figure was one of Darlok's slaves. He reaches the throne. Grubba spits blood all over it and walks away.

Grubba goes outside and reaches the fountain statue. He looks back at the castle and roars with the last of his strength. There he collapses and blacks out for a short while. A few minutes later he awakens and finds Hamlet and Kruuba looking at him. He speaks with them about what may happen in this war. Grubba tells them he wishes he could help fight, but he can't. He points to the castle and tells them more things about the battle. With the last of his power and strength, Grubba shouts words at the two in front of him, giving them instructions, and only they hear the shouts, no one else is around.

Grubba died there. Hamlet and Kruuba talk about what they should do with the body and decide to burn him in the ogre cave. They do this, and now the ghost of Grubba haunts Northerot until his instructions are followed, or until the war is lost.
