You decide the vocations yourself ingame. There is only magism and druidism. There are several similar topics already exisiting about this subject.
Is that a Tibian avatar?!

Tibia avatar. I take it you're not Arieswar from Tibia, are you?
And if you had put vocations into the forum search engine you probably would have found your answer anyways.
EDIT: I had made this post right after you made the above post so I didn't see it until after i had already posted this.

Vocations here are very different from the vocation system you know in tibia.
In tibia your vocation discribe merly the "class" of your character, nothing more.
Here we have a flexible system.
You get better in the things by doing them.
So if your vocation of choise is "Lumberjack" you just have to chop down trees.
If you want to become baker, bake bread.
If you want to become tailor, make clothings.
There is nothing that prevents you from doing it, only missing tools.
"Learn by doing" is our slogan.
Druidism and Magic are , so to say, additional and permanent talents your character can learn.
You can turn them into full vocation by devoting your Characters life into learning them, but its not nesseary to do it or even chose any.

I hope that the vocations aren't listed technically. I like the fact that you can chop down trees and call yourself a lumberjack, without feat that you wouldn't be able to chop down trees one day because you accidentally selected in the Character creation system that you wanted to be a Cleric or something.
You just have to like the freedom.

Sorry for saying this but... I don't think you're Arieswar.
I saw some of Arieswars posts on the official Tibia Boards, and he didn't write like you.
You said you could proove you are. Please proove me you're Arieswar.
By the way, you said you don't like playing Tibia no more,
this is when Arieswar logged in the last time:

Nobody here really cares who is who in Tibia, because this is Illarion.

I'm your long lost grandpop from Runescape.
Runescape had the same feeling too. You could do ANY of the skills on the list. As long as you had the tools.

I know that too, but I hate it if people brag with something they only pretend to be!
But you're right, I'm sorry for talking about Tibia related things here.

Same here, Tibia lost all rtace of roleplaying with the "skull system"
Still, I cant actaully believe the mighty Arieswar would quit, think you'll have to prove that to me ingame

Now on Topic, remember this game is still in an Alpha state, there wont be much in it just yet (I may be wrong here as my account erquest hasnt come through yet) So I suppose vocations are still quite limited.

This might be totally of topic, but I like to ask it:
What has the "Skull System" to do with "Roleplay"?
On Topic:
Vocations are unlimted.
"I am [name], the [(imgainary) vocation]."
You can be whatever you want, from Bartender, to Jester and Eremit.
Or you can choose the "classical" vocation, smith, carpenter, adventurer.

[quote="Keikan Hiru"]This might be totally of topic, but I like to ask it:

It prevents it, I wotn go into a big tibia discussion here as you will probably ban me, and besides, I came to Illarion to get away from Tibia
In Short, the skull system means annoying little idiots do whatever the hell they want and get away with it because no one wants to be banned for 15 days, I tried roleplaying on Tibia, unfortunately I'm one kill from a red skull so when this little...well, you get the idea.
On Topic:
I'm quite enjoying the rather stupid but overprotective role of a family man just taking his first steps into the world
For a vocation, well, I'll try a bit of this and a bit of that naturally, I have some...plans, but I wont spoil them on here.
