Urii nails a letter to the town board
Here starts an open letter to the Lyrenzia Foundation:

Lyrenzia Foundation,
Upon slaughtering pigs for sustenance and leather goods with an orc by the name of Isiadoras Eskenzo, we were approached by the lizard Fooser. With a movement of his hands, he cast several spells to stop us.

He told us that he's a member of the Lyrenzia Foundation and that there is now a permit needed to slaughter the pigs.

This seems reasonable enough, except for the fact that Fooser is not on record as a member of the Lyrenzia Foundation. Rather, he is on record as a member of the Movement Reborn. Further, he is not even listed as a citizen of the village of Trollsbane!

More confusing, he also told me to send some messages for him along with my application to the Lyrenzia Foundation. Would a member of the Lyrenzia Foundation need commoners to contact his organization in his stead?

If, through some bizarre circumstance, I am wrong, I accept my fault and this should, instead, be found as an application for a permit. Further, the orc, Isiadoras Eskenzo cannot read and has asked me to send an application in his stead.

A copy of this, along with the message that the lizard, Fooser, wanted me to relay to the Lyrenzia Foundation, has been sent directly to the aforementioned organization. Good day.

Dear sir,

let me tell you that the lizardman Fooser is not a member of Lyrenzia. In fact he is a known criminal, found guilty of several crimes, including an attack on a pregnant woman. For the danger he poses towards public order, he was banned permanently from the territory of Trollsbane. If you meet him inside the town´s borders again, call for the nearest guard unit. The guard will put a list with the name of every outlaw at the shop wall in a few days.

Concerning the pigs, they are free to be slaughtered by everyone, including visitors. The lizardman was just playing one of his games. Likewise are most of the grapes and apple or cherrie trees free for every traveller. Those, which are inside a building, are property of the place´s owner, but most of them allow to gather them for sustenance. In those cases better ask for permission first, you would be rather displeased, if you would meet strangers in your garden, i suppose.

As I have said, I am not the only witness, so keep your insipid lies to yourself! On top of this, as Hagen has allready clearly pointed out, Fooser is a WANTED criminal, PROVEN GUILTY of such despicable acts as an attack on a PREGNANT WOMAN!

You, I might add, are known far and wide for your treachery, not to mention your having a motive in all this, being a former member of the same organization that he is involved with--the Movement.

I, on the other hand, am simply an impoverished tailor who isn't happy being forced into the political battle between the Movement and Lyrenzia by the lizard Fooser and you!

When you have as much solid evidence as I do, then you can dispute my honor. Until then, do the entirety of Trollsbane a favor and save your ink!

Rosa was never attacked by Fooser. He was merely present when she attacked me and I defended myself. Get your facts straight. And I myself am far known for treachery? Please list me a few examples of this as I have apperently not been informed of this.

You may refute all things that are obvious as long as you wish. It won't make you pretty, though. As I have said, Fooser, regardless of what you say, has been proven guilty in court for his crimes. If it is that you disagree with the judgement of Lyrenzia, I wish you luck on your attempts to annul his charges in the courts....

...Oh, that's right. I'm sorry. You're banned from the village of Trollsbane, so that isn't possible!

As proof of your treachery, your mere posting on this town board, inside the border of the village of Trollsbane, which, I repeat, you are banned from, is a criminal act--no doubt one that will be duly noted by the authorities.

It is not that I wish the wrath of this organization, the Movement, to fall down upon my head. Rather, I have been handed this lot by the lizard Fooser.

It should be evident, being that I am a commoner with no skills in sword or arcane magics, that I wouldn't report such a thing in vain, knowing that punishment by the hands of Fooser or another may be imminent. It should be evident, but apparently it isn't to you, Arkadia.

• has no authorisation to speak in the name of Lyrenzia Foundation
• has no right to forbit you something within the town boards exept limited by the laws of the town written down in the Lyrenzian castle
• has no citizenship in Troll's Bane
• has be trialed several times for crimes
• has been banned from town by the town guard due to several crimes.

Is it possible that I have been called a liar by you? In that case, you have also called the orc Isiadoras a liar also. I saw what I saw, and he saw the same.

Everyone who I have talked to in Trollsbane with no connection to your organization has seen the same, also. When I bring up the name Fooser, it brings much talk about how vicious he is.

If you refute my testimony, you refute the testimony of everyone but fools.

It is not that I want a confrontation with your organization. Rather, I wish for peace, Grant Herion. If I were to meet you face to face, you would see that I am an honest tailor and a religious man who wants not at all to be involved with these guild politics.

Let my testimony come to you as wisdom, Grant. To fight against evil like Darlok, you must not allow your own body to be corrupted by evil. If Fooser were your hand, and he is evil, I would advise you to cut it off and throw it into the seas where it will be seen not again. You will have one good hand to fight Darlok, which will be much more effective than the other, which was corrupted.

If you don't want trouble with the Movement then you should never say it is filled with murderers and thieves. You should never even speak of it if you don't wish to be told to stay quiet, especially with an ill tounge. So please.

I can end all of this nonsense with a few sentences. Which spells were these? If you knew anything I am a rather simple mage, pleased with weaker spells, I have not the capability to stop someone from doing something. Secondly it was even said that I wasn't involved with the halfling incident, yet that is the only excuse Hagen can give for making me move elsewhere. Thirdly, it is obvious by the "spell" accusations that you have met someone else. I have never seen you, or heard of you, how would you know what I look like? The Grey Rose and Guards run around town like a pack of wild animals, who knows what they are doing.

I do not know arcane magics, so I do not know what spells were cast. I saw magical sparks fly through the air in many colors and I was momentarily halted. None of my blood was shed, nor the orc's.

In any case, I am a forgiving man. I do not trust you, Fooser, but I want not to get more involved. I have said my case and you and yours have heard it. This confrontation should end now.

I will leave you with this warning: Should I see you in Trollsbane, I shall call for the guards. This is my duty as a citizen, given that you are a wanted felon wether you feel guilty of the crime or not, so it should be understood. Should I run into trouble with you, I will defend myself and mine with what little might I can muster.

All that has been written, between you, your guildsmen, and me, has been written because of my fear that you would seek retribution for my reporting of you.

In any case, you know as well as I do that you and yours outnumber me and mine, and my only protection be that of the Guards of Lyrenzia.

So this should be the last word, and it is my hope that it is. I will withdraw my charges, on the basis that it could possibley be someone other than Fooser, though I do doubt it myself.

If I run into trouble with you, your guildsmen, or others, I will rethink my action and charge you, yet again.

The last thing that I need is threats and violence from members of a large and powerful guild. As of this sentence, my charges are withdrawn.

You have proven time and again your little perverse lust for fire in the city, Fooser. If you're tired of being blamed for things, whether you did them or not, you have only yourself to blame for your past actions.

Urii, you describe a paralisis spell. Fooser cannot perform a paralisis spell, at least to my knowledge he can't. So you have the wrong lizard.

it seems i have to point out that this has nothing to do with the guilds. That wanted criminals are/were members of the movement, doesnt matter in face of the law. Likewise it doesnt matter, if he was the lizardman that you met or not. Lyrenzia already banned Fooser personally and permanently from the territory of Trollsbane and this will not be affected by you withdrawing your charges. He was banned because of his history of crimes which include incineration, murder and attempted murder, supporting a cult of the fallen god and especially, to speak of the incident with Rosa, for the perverse pleasure he takes from the pain of others. I still remember him, grinning widely at me when i entered the room and found rosa lying wounded on the floor, bolts sticking in her leg. I remember it well.
Arkadia showed cooperation, served her time and did not comit a crime since, so she is not yet banned permanently. I give her the advice to think again about her threats in the public.
And i hereby warn the movement, to solve their quarrels with threats or violence inside the town, be it with this sir or the temple guards of Zelphia. You also should think about what reputation you get for harbouring criminals. If you are so convinced that they are righteous and good hearted people, then take them, make your own kingdom, or fight for the crown of Northerot. Noone will stop you. You may let them roam freely there.
