Dear Malinne,

I just got news today that you have returned to the island. I couldn't believe what I was hearing because when you disappeared, LĂșthien and I both thought you were gone for good. I didn't think anyone could survive among those demons for more than a day...

Please, Malinne if you are really on the island and chance upon this posted message, try and find me. I spend most of my time reading or collecting weapons that the zombies drop. The days are lifeless and boring without the presence of a good friend... I hope the rumor is true and that we can spend our days together like before. I really miss you and all of my old friends that I do not see anymore.

Malinne writes with a shaky hand a response to a message posted too long ago...

Alice,

I am as glad as I can be that you are alive and well. It is only a sad thing you have decided to stay in this place...

I apologize for not seeing this sooner. Yes, at the time I was indeed on the island. In fact, I have been on the island the entire time. I've been resting. When I returned, I was so weak and once again could hardly remember the people of Illarion. I was shocked that I returned alive, but only because as well as familiar faces I had forgotten a few details about myself. Sorry if this is confusing, but I cannot explain it any easier than that.

I have been through a lot and it has changed me. I no longer can associate with you. It could mean the death of many. It could mean pure chaos. This I cannot explain as well. It all has to do with what I discovered while I was away.

If I ever see you, I will have no choice but to kill you.

Konstantin reads the two papers carefully.
He puts his face close to Malinne's note and smells it, inhailing deeply.
From under his hood a quiet smile can be seen.

He makes a few steps away from the boards, and a moment later, grabs a wall with his hand. He coughs loudly, blood comes out of his mouth on the floor. He catches a few spasms along the spine. He takes a minute to lean on the wall and rest, then he quietly leaves.
