Delia the Halfbreed and her human sister...

Alice writes neatly in the finest ink a brief message for some new acquaintances:
I am no longer hiding in the shadows of the maze. I have come out now and have spent a long time reading through my books. I have been through a lot more than you could imagine and only request that you have the slightest bit of respect for that. I'm sick of chidlish games for though I am but a child in stature, my wisdom tears me from the innocence.
In short leave me alone, both of you, or feel Malinne's gift, the blade of her precious war axe across your throats. I dare you to cry to Lyrenzia or whatever government that would provide you justice, or rather satisfaction. I spit on your names until you can be forgiven.
Sincerely, Alice
She signs it without thinking and prays silently to her god.
