The cold brisk wind from that winter's night blew around his wild hair. He came upon the enterance of Northerot. As he stepped up to the castle's door he shouted,

"DARLOK!"

A shot was fired and Deies prayed and was given one more chance. He walked back and ask to talk. After a long winded speech about the hypocracy called Northerot, the arrogant Zerbus decided to let his anger take hold. His small intellect couldn't comprehend the words which came out of Deies mouth.
The end came near on the top of the castle. Deies notched a bolt and fired away at Zerbus. An arrows struck Deies to the floor. With his last breath he said,

"Think, if you have any sense, you will understand. Grant was right, Darlok is using you."

After those last words Deies exhaled and fell limp. His bloody body lay on the floor of the castle, the only building there that can fit more then one person.

Outside , Avrillon listens to the commotion upstairs while mining.

Avrillon mumbles to himself "Insane fool walking up to ones that can kill him easily and insults them, not much sense in that. Lucky to have his misery taken from him now than if he'd done it himself."

Avrillon sighs and continues working

As Deies is on his journey to the othe side, he remembers a small ghost that once cause quite a commotion in Trollsbane. About a month ago it came twice, both times telling him that he was close to the other side. He wonders about it and looks back at the choices he made. Then he thinks,
"What if there are no choices, that it is just an illusion. The illusion being us looking back and seeing the other roads of the choices. But in reality if we took the other road we really wouldn't be us."

As soon as he reached the other side, he began to watch the world turn, periodically going done as a spirit surveying the land. For an elf, his life was short.

He watches the men and women throughout there day. Thinking they have desicions to make. The idea is much more stronger then before, once Deies pondered about it. Darlok would have never been Darlok if he wasn't evil. Deies would have never been Deies if he didn't die.

He smiles up on the other side as he sees Grant's guild build power.
"Finally Darlok will taste his own medicine."

While he walks around town, a man called Hagen is disgusted with him. Not knowing he can not actually enter the othe side unless his affairs have finished. Deies sits in a constant limbo, as a spirit in a human world, and at the edge of the other world.
