Well it seems I was rejected.
"Because of the immense number of inquiries, we are not able to explain our refusal in detail."
at least a short explanation would be nice if you have it.

You have the possibitlity to try again. I think the Gms won't give you an explanation. They want you to think about the story yourself.
Just try again,
good luck

So basically this is what is considered "fighting blind".... nice I get to wait another week. Interesting how last week I was trying to reccomend improvements, some of the GMs got a bit frustrated at me and then a short time after I have an email in my inbox requesting the roleplay stuff. Yesterday I was complaing a bit about how long it takes (just to let off a little steam from a stressful day) and this morning (EST) I have a letter in my inbox saying I'm rejected and it can't explain why. Anyone noticing a pattern here?
Perhaps I'll just create another character and try again then.....
EDIT: spelling

If you would have some research in this board, you will know, that this is the standard response while being rejected. And you will also know, why they write no clearer answer.
The search function is on the right upper side.

nobody rejected you because of personal reasons.
this is something you should learn here - ingame (ig) matters are handled ingame and not out of character (ooc).
nobody is taking ooc grudge into the game - meaning if my character Z has bashed your character X, then my character Y won't do the same - maybe Y is best friends with X. and you (possibly) knowing that I, the player, have control over Z and Y, will not take revenge to my character Y for something Z has done to your character X.
most likely, since you have gotten the reply to write a story, you were rejected because the story was not good enough or had lots of spelling mistakes.

fair enough, I'll simply go through the whole process again. But I still keep my opinion that the way they have this set up can't be the fastest way possible....

It isn't ment to be the fastest way possible. It is ment to keep piss poor roleplayers out of the game so we don't have mindless pkers called "Noobbiekiller69" around.

I'll simply lock this at this point, this is getting nowhere.
