i do not think this is an in-game question

i saw people moving some objects on the ground to another place ... for example once i noticed to hobbits moving a rock together
what controls need to be used?
thanks for your time

Yes this is a IG Question. It would be the same if you ask, what controls would be needed to open the gates to silverbrand.
Maybe only the halflings know the secret to move the rocks?
Maybe they share theire wisdom with you.

Only hobbits can move these rocks just like only dwarves can enter silverbrand.

It is NOT an IG Question if it is regarding keyboard controls!!!! How many times can i say it, telling somebody to move rocks by holding control and dragging it with your mouse is in NO WAY ROLEPLAYING! IT IS AN OOC QUESTION THEREFORE BELONGS ON THE OOC BOARD.

There is no special function to move rocks. Keyboard commands correspond to "actions" of your character. ctrl+drag is a "push or pull" for your character, just like ctrl+arrow key is your character "turning around". It is ooc, but should be roleplayed to find out "how" IC and OOC, because your character has to find out "how" to do things. When you make a horn you could tell someone to "slowly turn the metal around the horn of the anvil while hammering" then tell them ((use the hammer with the anvil, now use the horn)).

It's absolute fascinating to watch people's greed growing while they are realizing their neighbour got something they would like to have too.
To move rocks YOU DO NOT NEED ANY NEW KEYBOARD CONTROLS !!!
Got it? Of course, you need a special technic and maybe some tools, but THEREFORE IT IS AN INGAME QUESTION.

And... I would really like to see these CASES of CAPITAL INTIMIDATION stopped. Some halflings were given the secret of moving rocks during a quest, so they will not tell anybody how it works. And everybody can find out how it works, because everybody can move rocks.

well, it sure would be nice to see some people rp their gate as a gate instead of rocks. If the rock was big enough to move by dragging it...then it would not be big enough to block your path. RP it as a gate. Seriously, its making me cry seeing how many people can move rocks so they haul over to the E.G. H. place and open it up. I tried my butt off to get the "key" to silverbrand but to no avail....but that doesnt mean im going to go ooc and beg everyone to tell me the secret. sheesh.

"To move rocks YOU DO NOT NEED ANY NEW KEYBOARD CONTROLS !!! " - Falk

I believe his original question was how to move objects on the ground, period. And he just used to hobbits moving a rock as an example. (At least that's what i got from his original post) and so therefore i assumed that his question was just how do you move objects on the ground, making the answer ctrl+click+drag.

Now would you please explain to me how you would answer somebody in character with 'push control on your keyboard, and click and drag with your mouse'?

this is really confusing
some say there are no keyboard controls (ctrl isnt a keyboard key?) others say only hobbits can
read this example below... than keep reading untill the end

examples:
let's say that a there is a person in front of us...
saying the truth ---> "i dont like that person" and you do not like him/her in fact OR "i like that person" and in fact you DO like him/her

hiding the truth ---> "no comment" OR "cannot tell you discover it your own"

hiding the truth with a lie ---> "i like this person" and in fact you do NOT OR "i dont like this person" and in fact you DO

about the above: i appreciate most those who tell me the truth (or in this case.. only in this case ... hide it) but please dont just hide the truth with a lie... i hate that

ok ok ... i shall try ctrl+click+dragdrop

thanks all of you for information

There was no coherence to the above post. Valdonyr, I would like to ask you-if you learned to move rocks, would you honestly keep away from Greenbriar, hmm?

Either you guys have it all wrong or I have it all wrong. Val, is your question how you move objects, any object, on the ground and that the hobbits moving the rocks was just an example, or was it how did the hobbits move the rocks so i can learn how to infiltrate their town?

I was under the assumption that he merely wanted to know how to, say, move a peice of coal from one tile of ground to the one next to it, and the answer would be control, click, and drag, making it an ooc question. If he wanted to know how to move the rocks guarding the hobbit entrence then yes, that is in game. Please enlighten me?

Valdonyr knows those simple kind of things, I've seen him drag things umpteen times. It was obviously in relation to gate opening/rock moving.

i think only Valdonyr (who is myself) can answer your question Setherioth.
i asked how to move rocks, and stuff on the ground from the tile to the next to it, not how to remove the gates or rocks of the city or what Brendan is saying (which i took i few notice to in fact)
thanks for your help Setherioth ... i appreciate... and by the way Brendan ... i do not need people like you answering questions I should answer ... so please.. keep yourself out
thanks

(edited) by the way ... i just tried moving some rocks on the ground just now ... ctrl+drag&drop ... nothing happened... does this need skills or any tools?
