i have been playing illarion this week
i think i got a problem
i wish to become a druid, and when a friend gave me the Firnis Book i SHIFT+LEFTCLICKED it and read it.
Then, when i got a Firnis Blossom, and a Mortar and an empty bottle, and HELD+ALT+LEFTCLICKED the Firnis Blossom as they told me to do, nothing happened.
instead, the mouse icon turned into a white want (sort of), and in the left bottom, empty boxes appeared, and it look like a rune (i dont know what it was). When i let go the ALT everything vanished, but nothing happened, the firnis blossom was still there even the mortar and the empty bottle.
my friends told me that i should have read a pen book mistakenly before reading the Firnis BooK so that now i am UNWANTINGLY a mage.
i remebers to have once found pen books, but do not remember if read them or not... i m not sure.
is it true that i cannot be a druid??
i am so sad to be a mage i do not like it
please someone reply and help

You are doomed to be a mage, sorry for that. You read a magic book and this decision can´t be undone.

i never saw in the website or read that to choose a vocation you just read a booK...

what is required to cast spells than? because i thought hard if creating a new character but i am not yet sure, because with Gronfyn Alkidor i am doing fine and got some skills well done and even friends filled with them.
gimme a brief description someone on how spells are cast and what it needs... BRIEFLY !! just to get the idea !!

but it tells you about how to cast a spell, not about the runes u need in F1 - F5
anyway i am NOT going to be a mage... i mean, i will not roleplay on it and will not advance on it as a vocation .. i hate being a mage sorry.
i wont start another player bcos Gronfyn is quite good now and i got some skills and friends which i do not think is worth the time to let them know my new name and stuff anyway

Oh by the way, your supposed to find out rune combonations in the game through whatever means you take, they are not simply handed out ooc.

but i shall be creating a new character and start all over again with him.
i think i can do this ... sorry but i cannot keep on doing roleplay knowing that i am no druid but a mage !!

Copy/Paste name list? Um... what's this name list, and how do you access it in game? I assume it's the people you've #i'd with?
