I dont know if it can be implemented but here it goes. Maybe diffrent species can hear things diffrently. Take elves they have good hearing so maybe that can hear a whisper for a longer distance. Then halflings also have a good hearing range and the people that dont hear very far will just keep what we have now.

Again I dont know if this can be or should be implemented so any comment is welcome.

Well right now you can hear the sounds of blacksmithing,mining, and splashing at a different volume depending on your distance. Maybe the perception stat could effect this?

That would mean most people would have low hearing, because they set their perception to 3 in favour of their other stats...Not me of course.

Those are the risks, that you take when you choose not to invest any points to stats that at the moment (Alledgedly) don't have too much use. So I doubt that it'll be much of a excuse.

Then you mean I should spend the points to all the abilties?

@Khiru
You're supossed to create the character before you request an account, so if you did it right, you already did it and it irrelevant for ya how to spend the points.

@RO
I do not know if its a good proposal I do think the wide range wispering/ hearing should be the one we do have know...

Ten steps to get an Account to play Illarion:
  • 1. Inform yourself about everything concerning Illarion i.e. read the web site
    2. Create a character with the Illarion Client
    3. Request your account with the form on the web site
    4. Be patient
    5. Answer two questions
    6. Be patient
    7. Get accepted or maybe try again (see step 1)
    8. Be patient
    9. The account is activated- 'Welcome to Illarion'
    10. Try to not get banned
EDIT: Step number 10:
10. Read *and* obey the rules, or else you will probably be banned sooner or later for doing something absolutely incomprehensibly stupid which is against the server-rules and then whine about your bans on the board.

Good one Cara :D

Very good, Fjalara.
However, I feel that there is reason to change the point number '10'.
You left it bit vague, allow me to point out the "Do's and Dont's":

10. Read *and* obey the rules, or else you will probably be banned sooner or later for doing something absolutely incomprehensibly stupid which is against the server-rules and then whine about your bans on the board.

I won't get banned so don't worry of me whining at the boards ....
