Rusty sits in a circle of trees deep in the Western Woods. A small stream flows by. Here Rusty sets up a small fire. He sits watching the flames with only a flicker of light in the trees showing that he is there.

As he sits a stranger comes silently up to the fire. The stranger sits crosslegged facing Rusty.

"So little one, Why do you come and sit so deep in these woods" says the stranger

"I come to think and rest that is all" replies Rusty

"To think and rest you say. Are you sure you havent come into the deep forest to find something?" says the Stranger

"Find something No, For I do not believe there is anything to find out here"

"You believe there is nothing to find? There is always something to find if you are looking to find something. But let me rephrase my question. Are you sure you were not led out here to find something?"

"I came on my own, Nobody led me to this place"

You may not have seen who led you here but you were led here none the less

You seem to know so much. Why dont you tell me what I was led out here to find

Why should I help you find what you are supposed to seek? What shall I get in return for this knowledge?

You wish for a reward for something that I do not even know about?! No, stranger I will not pay you for knowledge that is useless.

No knowledge is every useless small one. But you are right you should know what you are seeking. You are seeking what you can find and you shall find what you seek

You speak in riddles that I do not comprehend. Either give me a straight answer or begone

You are quick to anger small one. What right do you have to order your betters around?

Better! You are far from my better.

Let us see who is better small one

After hearing this Rusty quickly stands and charges towards the stranger. Rusty reaches the the spot where the stranger was but finds him gone. A voice comes from behind him

You see small one you are not my better you are not anywhere near me. You asked what you were supposed to find. The answer is me.

The stranger who as all this time been hooded. Slowly takes off the hood of her cloak. She is revealed to be a elven female.

"What?" says Rustas in a whisper

"Ahh small one you are suprised to find that I am female. Or are you suprised that I am an elf?"

"Suprised that you are an elf No, A woman yes" says Rustas in a slighlty stronger voice than before

Ah small one I understand your answer. But come sit by the fire and we shall speak more

The stranger goes and sits by the fire and motions for Rustas to do the same. Rusty goes and sits on the opposite side of the fire from the stranger

Who are you?

That is a long answer. Longer than the time that we have at the present. But I will say this I am a helper

The stranger while saying this takes out a small pot and fills it with water. She puts leaves of some kind into it and places it into the fire

A helper? Why do you think I need help?

She does not answer. When the water seems to have heaten up enough she takes out the small pot strangely not burning herself in the process. She pours some of the water into a small cup and hands it to Rustas who take it and blows on it to cool it down. Once it cooled down Rustas drinks it down in a three sips.

Thank you I did not realize how thirsty I was, But what was it?

It opens your mind and rests your body. Now sleep and rest it will soon begin

What will so..... Rustas falls asleep before he can finish his sentance

The elven female picks up Rustas and brings him to the Northern gate of TrollsBane

Sleep for now little one, We shall meet again

She sets him down and retreats back into the woods. Leaving Rustas seemlingly unconscous ((spelling)) by the Gate

Rustas mind begins to travel like a boat down a river. Deep in the woods by another fire the female elf stares deep into guiding Rustas dreams. At each dream comes and goes Rustas begins to shake more and more. Things that he has never seen before are shown to him things that he missed are made clear. Admist his dreams Rustas realizes what is going on and instead of fighting what is happening he goes along with it. He puts is mind and sanity into the hands of a stranger and lets her guide him in his dream state.

All of the sudden the dream state seems to stop leaving Rustas in a complete and restful sleep. The elf in the woods rises and puts out the fire. She leaves her little area without a sign that she or anybody was ever there

Rustas awakens at the gate and stretches and yawns. The nights sleep seemed to completley restore his vitality. As he begins to walk around town he seems to be much calmer and all of the nights previous events are lost to him
