I was chopping some firewood and i placed my sheild and chainmail down, then all of a sudden the chainmail's gone. I am posting this here so that i can come to an arrangement with the gm's to get it back. If you could give me a replacement (in-game obviously)) it would be appreciated. Also if you don't beleive me Carahawen and Aristeaus were witnesses.
Thanks

Why are you placing your Shield and Chainmail on the ground?
If you want to work dont wear Armor. That they are gone ist your problem not the problem of the GM's

There is 'decay' in the ground, which cleans the ground of items every once in a while. It was your own fault, I don't see why you should get any compensation for that.
If you want to chop firewood, consider leaving the heavy armor at home.

i put my chainmail down for a second, how was i to know it would disapear? surely it wouldn't be too hard to just give me replacement armour?[/b]

No it wouldn't be to hard but the people have to learn that it's not the meaning of the game to put down your armor on ground chop the wood get back your Armor go to the next tree put down the armor and so on.
If you want to work let your Armor in your depot.

I don't see any reason for giving you a replacement.

If the armour was so valuable, why did you put it on the ground instead of putting it in the safe depot? They made it so that you cant chop wood with shields for a reason, i think it was a good thing to happen. Let this be an example to all you armour/shield wearing wood cutters

Simply a bad timing.
It happens also if you put down the item often.

Try wearing clothes and a nice hat once, lighter with no restrictions.

Next time buy some armor smithed by an elf. They are not that overweighted than the dwarfen ones

@ Cuderon,
Elves cannot smith armor...
they may be good with wood, and they make good wine, but armor?!?!?
now that would have to be the best elvish tale i have ever heard.. *G*

Hardly bombor, where do you think elves get their beautifully crafted armor that has no purpose but to look nice? Elves have all the time in the world to learn the ways of smithing and make things others could only dream of.

They may be able to learn things, but they'll never be able to match good dwarven smithed things. They simply do not have the flair for it. As for thier armours... sure they look nice, but they wouldn't even protect you from a good gust o' wind.

Gro'bul already stated it wasn't for protection but for decoration. But no doubt Dwarves hold the key to strong sturdy armour.

Arg, big chunks of iron, light elven chain you can accually move in.

this is getting waaay off topic.

I was aware of that, Deies, but you have my most sincere gratitude for pointing it out to me again.
Now, with that settled, Today you will learn a nice new verb. It is - Agree.
It is a regular verb in *ed and used when you are of the same belief as someone else. i.e. You think so, I think so too. There fore we agree on it.
It is a very useful word, so I suggest you write it down in your little book. I apologise for using such a nasty meaning with my post before we had properly explained it to you, Deies, I'll try not to do it again, But as you can see, I was "agreeing" (gerund form of agree) with Gro'bul.
