The Greatest Sacrifice.

Faramier walks through the hallowed hall of the ancient temple, torches flicker and bow to him as he passes and straighten as he turn the corner. He walks past the zombies and the various fortune seekers that battle with them, he enters the final room and an eerie quiet posses it.
Faramier opens his pack and takes out several items. The first is a small blue crystal, which glows with a light blue tint. The second is a small dagger sharpened to a razor point and made of pure white bone. Then he takes out three donf blades and a golden goblet encrusted with jewels.
Faramier places the small crystal in the heart of the statue and lays the three donf blades about the room, then carefully with the use of a torch he lights all of them and lets them burn slowly. The smoke fills the room, intoxicating, then taking the bone blade Faramier slices his wrist and bleeds some blood into the goblet.
This done he places the goblet in the statues hand and lies himself gently in the coffin at the statue's feet. Faramier closes the coffin and waits in the dark.
Closing his eyes, Faramier takes the bone blade again and slits his other wrist, his head throbs and swirls, beings howl and scream at him blood gushes and bones crack, then blackness. A throbbing beat sounds in Faramiers ear, strange voices whisper and chant. Faramier's spirit takes the form of a small cloud and floats above his body. As the cloud takes form Faramier's conciousness is transferred into it. He floats down the corridor a spirit again, seeking, again sacrificing his mortal body to gain more immortal knowledge.
Last time the voices were broken, and when circumstances drew him back into the living they were weak, now they whisper clearly to him, teaching him telling him the secrets. For in order to learn the secrets, one must make the high sacrifice, this time, Faramier's Pilgimmage shall succed.
Faramier may return to the living if needs be, the donf blades still hold his body to this realm, though his mind and soul is free to wander.
The etheral being floats through the corridor gathering knowledge, slowly he feels his skills in life slipping, being forgotten, being sapped and traded for forbidden knowledge. Faramiers greatest adventure begins.
