Lag

Can the connection lag?
i mean ... i have not yet played illarion cause i am waiting for acceptance of my account ... but normally when i play "RPGs" i have a very bad connection and everything is so slow and i get annoyed
my question is ... can this happen too in illarion?
or the server is so much updated and good that this wont happen?

What do you have? 56k'ers inevitably lag, but usually I only lag when there is around 20 and up people on.

I have a 56k and i always lag. But it's not really that bothersome. On the slowest days it's maybe a second(although occasionally i get heavy lag of a few seconds, but very rarely), which isn't too much as the game isn't quick paced enough that lagging up to a second or two won't kill you.

Some people complain abut a ping of 50. At times like that, I'm swearing and getting angry because, at that time, my ping is 500.

well
usually when i play ORPGs i get a big lag
well i have Cable Internet so i do not think this is supposed to happen, but it does
well maybe with illarion it is a different thing, because it seems that when we play we play on the server not from our client ... because such good games are larget than just 2Mb because the whole program is downloaded... so i thinK illarion won't lag too much
well i wait and see
i hav just been accepted (my char name is Gronfyn Alkidor) and soon i will be on plaY

I have adsl, and yes it lags. BUT it's well worth it, so bah.

but what kinda lag?
like telling your player to move and he does not obey before 5 seconds? or more
well thats quite bothering if it happens all tha time
ok 1 or 2 sekonds wont piss me off ... but more than 5 seconDs maKe me nervous and playing bcomes boring ... veri boring
wel i will wait and see

by lag me means if a person a butten for his character to move and it doesn't after a short period of time. I don't like it much either when I am minning. and I got a realtivly fast computer.

Your computer shouldn't be a factor, unless you have a problem with your graphics card drivers, as stated above.
Lag happens if your connection or the server is not fast enough to process your commands.

even now i logged on to play illarion
i already got bored
the character obeys my orders 50 secs late
