bror,

please explain to me why i was killed by a ONE HIT K-O shot of some sort for casting spells at the near the 3 fern from the anvils and nearly 3-5 walk blocks away from the 3rd fern and the guy said no casting... near town???

i went to the place where i thought that human was standing who said "becareful when casting near town" <--Threat? warning? Joke?
i thought it was in town, would be kind if he WALKED to me and said kindly, you cant cast near town now either.....
i couldnt see the ferns, not even the 1st one.... so your telling me i was killed for casting
"away" from him, and out of town.....

I'm not bror, but hey, I can try.

@warriors: Names are usually proper nouns, and generally aren't plural. They can be changed though, so just think up a really good one and avoid the problem completely.

@Chyan: That sounds like an in-game thing. Unless something you described broke an actual rule (not a player rule like casting in town)... why are you bothering Bror with it?

(post-edit: Just for future reference Chyan, in the top right corner of the client you'll see (x,y,z) coordinates of your location. Using those is much more helpful than describing the number of ferns around you. )

its a ONE HIT K-O shot, no spells no attacks, a GM could of done that, then i heard "becareful casting near town"

i think bror knows the GM, why would they enforce non-official rules? someone told me no casting in town was a rule, im very confused...

and wondering.....

Ever heard of a Windarrow?
Usually, 2 well-placed arrows will take down an armored knight with only one good shield.
If you had a not-so-great shield, or not even a weapon, you most likely would have only had to take 1 hit.
Hope I helped...

then 2 knights shield must be the worst?

fully armored, and stationed, no damage spark thing, just, 100 percent health gone.

neither "warrior" nor "warriors" are good names.
just like "hero", "superman", "batman", "robin", "spiderman", "CoOlDuDe", "Kew|m4N", "l33t_H4x0R", "bror-f*ck*off", "die_hard", "Michael_Jackson", "Billy_thegreat", "knightrider", "11223344", "fighter", "kung-fu-fighter", ...

i think you got it now, don't you?

u should look at the page http://www.barrowdowns.com there is a good name generator. u tipe in a name and get ur name it was in middle earth, for elfs, hobbits, orcs.

@gms vielleicht solltet ihr darüber nachdenken, diesen link mit in die anmeldung einzubauen, denn hier kommen wirklich gute namen zustande. seht euch die seite an, einer der links auf der seite heißt "what was your name in middle earth" dahinter versteckt sich das ganze.

Names for items are proper nouns. Names for persons are definitely NO nouns (in the meaning of existing words you use to describe an item). No person is named "spoon", "horse" or "warrior".

@Muck: I think people who aren't able to think of a name theirself, should also judge if they are creative enough to play an RP game.

A "proper noun" is a term in English grammar meaning a kind of name like Alex or America.
Spoon, horse, or warrior are just "nouns" not "proper nouns"

it is possible the word (noun) warriors is used as a pronoun.... after all, if someone did use it as a name...
<the native americans named themselves things like "Sitting Bull" ect..... but thats up for debate if its allowed in the game..... guessing not likely>

but its not allowed for then everyone will start naming like he said, coolman or something close make them look ridiculous.

hey newbs dont know better i mean i was coolandrew when i started out cuz most ppl dont wanna read any manual and documenttation or anything and i dont think they should have to read alot of barf hehe ...................
but ne way u know bror is makin us all do all this nonsence so we can have a account well i think they should lay off with that junk and concentrate more on in-game cussing 9bad words for ppl who dont know what that is) and making the game truly better maybe some more npcs and maybe if the gm see3s you doing something good they shoud appoint u a person who full time does something like cops or something, oh and i think that dieing should be more permant like u have to wait 5 mins fore u can get back on or something

....everyone can police, the only punishment for the offender other than a warning is trying to send him to death.

But again GM is everywhere, but not at the time you want them. If you know one you can report to him.

I suggest you get use to reading the manual, its there for a reason, a good one too.
dont you read the manual when putting together a bike for the first time?
Once there was a report of a person using a pressure cooker, due to his "lack of common sence to read the manual", the pressure cooker was used and constructed improperly and turned into a auto pipe bomb and blew out his window in the kitchen, lucky it wasnt his face.

This game you played in the first time, sure, not the first RPG, but every game is different.

Coolandrew, I am not quite sure if you fit to this game. This game is a RolePlayGame. That means that you choose a role, let's say an elf and act like he would in this medievil fantasyworld. But before you can do so, you need to know about the game and therefor you need to read the "barf", like you call it. It is to help people so they won't run around screaming: "Hello, I'm new to this game, could anyone help me please?". Because this is definitely disturbing the game of the others. I really like Illarion and I used to play it a lot, but at the moment it's really bad, because of people like you. I hope this will change after the e-mailapplication.

Why are people always come to games, that don't fit them and want to have them changed as they like it? Why don't you just look for a game that fits your playing style?
Do I visit friends to play monopoly with them and then demand to change the rules, that it is more of a fighting game with dragons and spells?
