What would be so great about a linux client anyway? What is wrong with what we have?

Nothing's wrong about that, it's just that, well, I personally prefer to run Linux on my home PC, and I want to run things without having to rely on wine. I don't have anything against wine, I just want to run things without an emulator.

Speaking of wine, how does the Win client run under it? :)

And yeah, I'm one of those who refuse to run XP, the 2 weeks I spent with it still gives me nightmares... :?

The Win-client is extremely instable on certain hardware-configurations (e.g. mine). It crashes the whole computer after about 3-5 minutes.

Just for example.

What happens exactly?
What hardware are you using? (CPU, mainboard, graphics adapter, ...) Which OS?

Illegal op, followed by a few exeption errors, then a bluescreen of death

running a 600mhz Celeron, with an SIS graphics card (64mb) an Audigy soundblaster soundcard, about 112 mb DDR ram and win98 OS.

This is different from what I experience.
My computer simply freezes, I have to restart it totally afterwards.
