Screen resolution

it seems that illarion screen resolution is quite big i think its about 1000x 860 or something close...mines 800x600,i was thinking can i change the resolution to 800x600? cos i might miss some animation.im scared it will happen like that max payne that ive been playing,i cant see most of the cut-scene cos the screen resolution is to big.
