I have seen the walls of the city....and they seem rather thin, to thin in my eyes to withstand a good large attack, also, alot of the exits are to thin, making them clog easily.

While in the western islands, I've seen some great elven walls....the most proud being the city of Grahounta, which had the greatest design of walls in its lands....

The idea of this re-enforcement is to

Non combat:
a) Provide an elevated walkway for peddlers and merchants, who would rather take a more scenic route

b) provides a new place to visit, and somewhere to look out over the island instead ofusingthe Library, or Master Fieps' house.

Combat:

a) Larger rampart and towers provide easy defense to mages and archers firing from the entrance, or the main deck if possible

b) Incredibly durable elven "component construction", which allows sections of wall to be build from ground level quickly and effiecently.

c) The entrance design prevents most clogging of bodies, allowing the archer to do their job effectively, and letting the warriors fight on albeited by the death.

The second Idea I have come across is simple, drainage ditches from the ocean to the city's rivers

with a few people, these ditches are easily dug, and can bring water to the trees....and animals

possibly the waters can be blessed, making the trees grow again

Those are my only ideas as of now...

go easy on me, I'm not a general , I'm a simple tailor

I will have drawings shortly...
