For some reason, every so often My charater looses all the names of people introduced to him. It is not a majour problem, but it is SO anoying having to make up reasons WHY your char cant remember anybodys name once ever couple of months. Oh and no I dont delete then reinstal, I make backups of the name file but this still seems to make no diffrence.

Did you backup them on CD?

Then they are "write protected". Rightclick on your chars directory and unmark the fitting field.
