To those who complain to the GMs

To all you people who complain about the GM's..... SHADDUP!! Do you know they aren't being paid for this, and they are doing it on their own time? They cant be here all the time because THEY ACTUALLY HAVE LIVES!! They have other things to do! The GM's cant make this game as fast as you may want, but they make it as fast as possible! Besides, taking longer means it will be better than taking a short time! Wanna know why the GM's are 'mean' alot on the forums? Well.... first of all, some of the things you post are STUPID! Second of all, they are very stressed, and get no money out of this. Someone (I will not put his name) asked martin once, "If you dont get paid, why dont you just quit?" martin said something like, "You are truly stupid arent you?" For all you who think that was mean, think about this: Since all the GM's arent getting paid they are all quitting and you will never get to play this game in a better version. Since there is no one to work on this game, the makers of the game will shut down this site, and destroy the game completely, so now everyone is mad at the GM's for quitting, because someone told them to. So everyone should be mad at the idiot who posted that they should leave cause they are getting no money from this. SO MANY people complain about how long it is taking, and how 'mean' the GM's are, but if you really think about it, and know how hard it is to make a game, you would not complain anymore! The GM's are EXTREMELY NICE PEOPLE to make for FREE!! Sorry for 'wasting' space in this board, but people complain in a few different boards and I cant post this many times, or I will get yelled at by the stressed VERY NICE GM's. Please just be thankful that they are working for free!! If they started getting paid, then we would have to pay to play this game, and MANY people would just quit because they wouldnt want to use up all their money on a game.

Okay...... lemme take a deep breath before all the replies come. The player of Sess'sth takes in a deep breath, cracks his neck, and waits for the inpatient people to reply. Bring on the replies!!

I'm not in the game yet,but I also agree. You guys should be happy that the GM's even interact in the forums at all. Ask them once don't bombard them with pms of the same subject every 10 minuets. If they answer you well good if they don't wait. Thats all I have to say. As for the elarith problom. Somone fight her one on one no teams just one on one.

At the risk of getting shouted at, i'd like to say that gm's shouldn't be so rude. yes, i respect the fact that they do work for free and i appreciate it.
But that is no excuse for being rude. The players of illarion are people to and just because the gm's build the game for free is no excuse to be rude.
in retrospect, nice job gm's! :D

p.s unless it of course has something to to with acer1213...whatever.

I agree but you dont have to make a while thread about it now people will start changing the subject back to Elaralith and make people cry and moan more.

I think... that people don't realize that the gm's are doing this of themselves. No one is forcing them to...

Anyway... the problem lies with the community, not with the makers. The community of illarion thinks it is so much better than everyone else. They also think that being hypocrites is a natural born right. How many times have people made character judgements of people on the OOC forums after having never spoken to them and only reading the comments of others? I can cite examples off the top of my head... if I were to make a game, I would not allow the community to get so... egomaniacal.

I think they just get irritable because so many people complain about stuff like waiting for accounts to get accepted, the drought, and stuff like that.

I'm sure if you had their job, and had to deal with so many people complaining about how long things take, then you would be grouchy too. ^_^'

Did they not take it upon themselves?

I'd say that earns them the right to be grouchy then, if they started and even though they could see the depth of ignorance and stupidity the ingrates they did it for possessed, and still did their job. If you had the stress of a job and added dealing with difficult people whenever you had a spare moment, I think you'd be grouchy too. Besides, there's little use for finess when you have to present the same point over and over again. A blunt blow to the ego with a sharp comment will ensure that people more often actually check to see if a question has been asked before risking the gm's judgement and the ringing stupidity in their own ears.
