 First, I think there should be a new forum for things that are not directly Illarion-related... I have already ofthen been at lost where to post somethink that I would have thought of interest for many of the players but that was not illarion-related...

 What I am posting about now is a research project that is aimed to find a cure for cancer, and where everybody can contribute with his unused processing time. If you are interested, have a look at ud.
 The client comes nowhere near the Seti Project client I believe, but it is quite neat and user friendly nonetheless. And I believe that it is finally a really meaningful project.

 Als erstes wollte ich vorschlagen, ein board zu eroeffnen, in dem nicht direkt Illa-bezogene Sachen geposted werden koennen, denn ich habe schon oft ueberlegt, etwas zu posten, wovon ich der Meinung war, dass es die Spielerschaft interessieren wuerde. Allerdings wusste ich nicht, wohin damit, denn es war oft nicht Illa-bezogen.

 Worum es hier geht ist ein Projekt, bei dem ein Heilmittel gegen Krebs gefunden werden soll. Man kann dort mit seinem eigenen Computer mit einem kleinen Programm, das im Hintergrund laeuft, mitarbeiten. Wenn jemand Interesse hat, kann man bei ud mehr erfahren.
 Der Client kommt meiner Meinung nach nicht an den des Seti-Projekts ran, aber er ist trotzdem ziemlich nett und benutzerfreundlich, finde ich. Und ich finde es ist mal ein wirklich bedeutendes Projekt.

I have switched from seti to this for some time too.
The problem with it was, that the Client was not able to process some workunits. From time to time you got a workunit that was calculated forever, and the percentage that it was ready, stepped back from time to time. After this has happened some times for me, I changed back to seti.

I don't not want to boycot this project. I think it makes more sense than seti, but for me it did not work. Try it out anyway, maybe it works for you.
