I find that nothing ever happens even after I use my sickle on grass and sand many times. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong? I hold shift, select sickle, select ground near me, then release shift.

Maybe it has an ingame reason, that you found nothing at this time.

You must try many time to get herbs. I find it easy to get herbs even in the drought but that is just me

Maybe there is an ingame reason, but my quesiton is out of the game because that's the only way to find out if it is a bug or problem or a technical change. I can't just assume that every problem has an ingame reason or else nobody would report bugs or rule violators, etc.
And no I don't believe that the "drought" is a reasonable explanation to assume for sure that it's an ingame reason, because grass and trees are still growing fine, and desert herbs shouldn't be affected by the drought.

It is the drought, look around ingame and ask why you cant find any herbs in the ground.

Well, it doesn't seem to make sense when the drought affects only some plants and not others. But oh well, maybe someone in the game has a good explanation.

What makes very little sense about that is the fact that you can't dig up sand herbs... its a drought.. and you can't dig up the herbs that are supposed to grow with little or no water...

Whenever there is a dramatic change in the enviroment, the plants and animals of the area are affected. Perhaps there is more to this drought than lack of water. The draining of the island's energy and life may be an explanation.
