Okay, so you are in the desert with your shovel. You put your shovel into the ground, pull it back up... and there is no sand on it? How does that work? Wouldn't it make sense to get sand everytime you dig in the desert? Its kind of hard to not get sand if you are digging in the desert in real life.

Hä? You are a little bit misinformed, are you?
Go in the desert, dig once again, and then say me that you find there no sand!

I always thought it was because you did not find any useful sand; that it means you find nothing of value

Maybe you lift up your shovel and try to put sand into your bag, but the sand is to heavy and none or little sand gets into your bag... I thought of it that way...

Well, the item that you dig up is Quartz Sand. I always thought there was your ordinary grains of sand, then quartz sand.

Further, if you're no to skilled with a shovel, you could accidently drop
the sand from the shovel.
