i tried to search for this but didnt see anything
I believe that lizardmen whould be able to walk on water, since lizardmen can swim very well and breathe underwater. But then i think... "is this unfair?" then i think "I dunno". They shouldnt be able to swim on all water but just shallow ends, so they can only get across streams and not be able to get to the edge of the map. And a new graphic wont have to be made, lizards just walk on it but very very slowly

I once saw a GM walk on water in the river, I think this is a GM only feature.
Plus you must remember lizardmen could abuse this very easily. The first thing that pops into my head is a lizard thief.
Say he steals near the tavern, then simply runs accross the water, no one would catch him ever and if they got close he would simply run around in the ocean.
Thanks for reading,
Grant

But afterwards everyone is going to be a lizard to have that skill.

Thats true, it would be just like the way people reacted when Bloodhearte was RPing a Vamp ((and he may still be)). A lot of people suddenly started to claim, "I am a vamp. now because I was bitten". This also happened when Rynt said he was a werewolf. So though it is quite logical that a lizardman should walk on water, there are also too many problems with it.
hmm

I support the idea, you can always use magic and or long distance attacks to stop the thief. And Lizards are water creatures, so it makes sense.

and what if you don't have a long distance weapon on you? and cannot cast magic, what then?

So you're saying that lizardmen shouldn't be able to do this because it gives them an advantage? Well, boo hoo, oh well. If they are meant to have it, then let it be so! But you need to have it fair that elves can climb in trees, dwarves can dig holes and hide, hobbits can "disappear", and humans can, well... humans can have ranged weapons, be mages, druids, humans don't get an advantage because they are... hard to say. They are "average", if you get what I mean.

I like the ideal even if it does give them an advantage. Some races do have certain advantages. This could be counterbalanced by making them slower than normal on land. But they should not be allowed to go out too far in the ocean.
Maybe they could only swim in fresh water? This would keep them out of the oceans.

now that i think about if i could do this i would never really use it since i never really have to get across a river
but its still a cool idea!
but it doesnt matter what anyone thinks... just need a simple yes or no from the GMs, and im gonna guess no =(
