dark and light magics

i was thinking, why exactly would an evil person go to a cross to be revived? Why would somebody evil, go to a holy place to be revived. I know the alignment system has not been implemented yet, but, i was thinking. Since there are evil and good rituals, maybe there good be good and evil magics. I was thinking maybe your alignment could affect which magics you could perform. But, i was also thinking that maybe if you were resurected at the cross, maybe your alignment would go up, but, in order to balance it out, if you died and went to an evil symbal resurection place, then your alignment would go down. People may say "people will die then get resurected to higher/lower their alignment" But, isn't sacrificing yourself to raise your alignment roleplayable? Of course, as usuall, just an idea.

That's the way the alignment system is going to be. What spells you cast, prayers you speak or other actions you do will affect your alignment, while on the other side your alignment will affect your ability to succesfully berform these actions. So an evil priest will have a hard time trying to bless someone, while a good priest will not be too successful in summoning an undead or spelling a curse on someone.
Any why would someone evil go to the cross? Maybe the crosses are ancient places, from a time where there was no evil in Illarion, and so they are made available to all mortals?

Sighs
There is no such thing as pure 'good' or 'evil.' It's simply a matter of two or more people disagreeing with each other, and throwing these labels around. One guy may like ideas that are 'bad' to the majority, therefore he is 'evil?' Nah, that's just too stereotypical, and borrowed from possibly every roleplaying game I've ever played.

Ok, its fantasy, its medieval, lets have good and bad evil and saintly, we all see your argument but lets just keep it simple.

Whats the point of having a realistic rpg then if everything is either good or evil... doesn't make much sense y'know.

Maybe you could just keep a Word file where you have an alignment rating that YOU think of people like....
Darlok=Evil
And It's something that people keep, their views on someone. We don't need a system for that. Just get people to write down what their character thinks of people.

What about this, if a char black spells you would get a black robe. If you cast destruction spells(Neutral) you would get a red robe. But if you cast healing spells and blesing spells you would get a white robe.

I could change my Clothings just by doing some Magic-Tricks?
This would save me alot of time considering I would not need to undress and dress again ... impressive Proposal.

There is no good or evil only power and those with the ability to take and use that power to their own ends.
