Hello all, I am curious about the quest to get the animals back. No one has started it so I guess I am and I am curious. Hagen and myself went out today and searched the North East area where the ogre castle is and saw no caves. We walked around most of the island and found nothing and I realized it is like finding a needle in a haystack.
I thought maybe since there is already 1 hint in the library maybe there is more, like where they normally make their caves and such. If answering this question gives away to much information for the quest then do not answer.

For a while Malinne kept looking for either a cave or portal or something that would lead her to the island to the north, but to no avail. Either I haven't looked thoroughly enough or there isn't anything to be found yet. I didn't exactly make it a quest or anything though. I just let other characters know what I was doing when I wandered off into the forests.

I cant provide you with Hints or anything like that, but i hope you can establish your Character as somekind of Leader in this Quest.

Thats what i heavily miss at the Moment, a clear Structure of People who are active.
This is one of the few "Illarion-wide-Quest" and all what i am seeing is, that most People thend to ingore it.
Or even worse, start own Quest and take away some of the most usefullst Roleplayer who could drive the current Quest on.

Well Grant, i hope you become a Node where some Informations (InGame) come together to get on with this Quest.

That is what I am trying, I have been talking to Drathe, Draakon and I am pretty stump, they all seem to have ideas but ideas I don't agree with... Personally I think they are hiding at... Oh I shall keep it a secret incase someone tries to beat me to the cave...

Well whenever Yizzan decides to come back to the island, i'm sure he will be happy to follow your lead. If he indeed ever comes back. Anyways Grant, try and pm me soon.

Shoni would be ready to take up arms to go find animals. But I have a question, How many people are actually helping with the search? Make a list and sign me up! When you get back Yizzan, in whatever body you inhabit, we'll train up and go get some animals. But like I said Grant, I'm with you whatever you do, just tell me where to go and when to be there.

Anyhow, Cerd has been searching tirelessly since they disapeared and found nothing, nadda, zip. I have covered the entire island and found nothing. The only hint of a clue I can find is the portals to the north west which are blocked.

There is also a section of island to the east that sticks out into the ocean (a peninsula) that is blocked off by a row of trees. I tried cutting down the trees but still cannot get across the stumps.

The only other thing I can think of is if there is a cave which is situated directly behind a tree or set of trees and therefore cannot be seen until you walk right onto it.

When Cerd comes back to town he always asks around to anyone who is there if there is any news on the subject. But it seems like everyone just ignores the questions and goes on with what they are doing.

Grant, if your character is going to head up a quest then let me know what Cerd can do to help. Cerd is a hunter and desperately needs the animals for his profession. My time online is limited but let me know what he can do to help.

I have done everything I can think of other than reading more books in the library. That should be the mages' and druids' role and let the stronger people walk the island and follow any leads that they find.

I'm working on something to solve this quest for some time. I'm still working on the fine tuning in the background, and didn't tell many people about it yet. However, I look forward to more approaches

Cerd's approach sounds a lot like Malinne's, and now she has another idea that there is a portal or cave somewhere that is hidden by trees now, but if they keep dying off because of the drought then maybe it will be revealed. I just think there are a lot of possibilities right now...

I have searched almost the entire island today. There are no Ogres around anywhere.
