I have not played this game in a couple of months. I have an old character, but his name violates the name rules. Is it possible to apply for a character, but have his name changed?

You mean use your old character but change his name, doubtful.

How is it doubtful? I made a character before the name rules and account system. It is my only character I have right now. Shouldn't they be able to change the name to a name that fits with the game?

Say you made a name like: California back in around August. Can't you apply for an account, but get your characters name changed?

Note: My old character's name isn't California.

There was a topic somewhere where Galdriel asked players of several chars who did not fit the name rules to change the name.
Send a mail to character_requests@illarion.org with the new name, and then request an account with the new name.

I already sent my account request for my old name. I also just now got a story that I now have to send in. I'll make a small note, asking to change my name though. My friend who helped me make a character (which was a long time ago) said that Galdriel would ignore username chaning requests. I'll make a small note at the beginning asking to change my name though. If I got a story, that means my name will work, but my name is off of another roleplaying game and I thought I shouldn't use it. Thanks for your help.
