When looking through the library for an interesting cookbook...I found a leatherbound book, that may have been overlooked by many in the past.

Within it, it contained information about ogre behaviour...

It said...
"In time's of drought, ogre's take all avaible food sources...(like the animals and monsters) and hide them within their caves"

Perhaps there is an ogre cave somewhere on the isle that we have overlooked! There may be hope for us after all!

I too have found this book hobbit...but I must say, it stated that when "something bad is about to happen" is when the ogres gather everything of nourishment....but I agree, we must search for hidden caves, for this very well could be an answer we are seeking.

Good sir Vom Wald...I think it would be best that somebody other than me starts the search. Perhaps you could, my friend. I for one shall accompany you...but the tactics are not best left to a Halfling like I!

So I will contact me brothers in arms at the Grey Rose to decide what has to happen.

I too have found this book, it either means something bad is going to happen or the reason for disapearance is because they plan to attack us. So Either way its bad.

I have thought about your proposal Brendan, and have decided to accept it. I will try and use my...talents to aid your search.

Falk Vom Wald, the following is thanks to Moathia's logic. She has come to the conclusion, that when the monsters...more precisely the trolls odd behaviour began, is when the monsters started to vanish. Remember those few months back, when the trolls attacked town? Well, I believe they were only creating a distraction, while other Trolls captured the beasts and put them within their caves!

Moathia remembers correctly, that the Trolls attacked from the West, and so, logic would decree, that we start our search for the monsters thereabouts.

I believe these caves are in the ruins of the castle near where the ogres are found. They could be inside an old cellar of the castle, using that as a hideout.

I know there are no animals at all anywhere else. All the trails I smell are old and stale.

Yes, I do not know many of you who write this ((not many signatures on this letters...)) but if you wish to look for the monsters so we can bring them back I support you and will help. I have checked the broken down Ogre Castle but find nothing but rocks... However there is a large block of rock that I cannot move... Perhaps if we get the strongest man of this island to try and move it, it will lead to the Ogre's cave.

Thanks a lot for all your friendly offers. Meanwhile an expedition of monks of Eldan monastery was started. Of course it would be helpful if other groups spread out to investigate. I believe the ogers have covered and hidden the entrance of their cave, so my group may fail while a following groups succeed.

I wish all of you this little bit more luck, so in the end we all together can drink from the cup of glory.

I tried searching the southern tip and around the jail but grew tired ((serious lag)) and had to come back to town and rest.

I have tried pushing the cave wall in the Ogre Castle ruins... It didn't work...

I have always looked down upon scholars as being puny little mama's boys. I never took faith in book learning. I guess I have just grown used to living by my strength alone. Where is this ogre castle? If we search the woods and surrounding area there could be a secret entrance.

Comes upon an interesting message, with a clue to where the monsters
are. He scribbles something onto a piece of parchement and pins it under
the other messages with a needle.

How about everyone just posts their results here.
This would help get some clues together...
It's no use, if everyone just says, he is going to help, instead
of doing something.

*Late one afternoon, while visiting the library, hoping to find more clues on this search, Viola pens a quick note and stops by the public boards to post it.*


The problem is, I'm not sure I'd even know what a hidden cave would look like. I've scouted by the Jail to the south and the western penisula looking in deeply forested areas with no success. Perhaps we should be investigating every plot of land. If the hidden cave entrance is covered by a layer of grass or forest ground we all could be walking over it many times and not even realized it. Also, has anyone searched the desert?

What technique are you all using to search for this hidden cave??
