we discovered today, that there existed about 200 Name Doubles in the Database. Some of you might have noticed this in the form, that you got a "wrong password" while entering your data.

we had to resolve this, by deleting the younger charakters:

Ok cuz I got the WRONG PASSWORD thing. I didnt know why but now I do. I was the first Skink name. When can we log in again?

i sure hope alot of these names were not accepted.

of course they were not all accepted... to be true, few are.
but i was definitly too lazy to sort THAT out.

It is concealed from everyone until you use the #i (Introduce) command near them.

Is Alice not an acceptable name? I just found this topic trying to find out the right way to add characters to my account. I tried logging in as Alice before, to see if it would work, but the server told me I had the wrong password. Now, it just says that the name does not exist. It's starting to make a little more sense now. I did send a PM to you Galdriel, I think you probably have the best answers.

Maybe you were the second person to chose that name, someone could have done it before you and therefore they got to keep it because it was registered first. Or maybe because of the character from the tale "Alice in wonderland" not that I ever saw the film to it

Well, it's a commonly used name, and now the server just says the name doesn't exist. "Alice in Wonderland" was originally a book, by the way, which I didn't even think about before I created the character.

This explains why I was a human. I'm glad my problem was fixed.
