Dear Dwarfs,

I have come a long way to see the halls of Silverbrand.
I felt comfortable here.
I even accepted visits of those people from the surface, those humans and other creatures, because it seems to be Tialdins way of reign this place.

Today though some of those green creatures attacked me twice and knocked me down in those holy halls. No weapon raised by me, just plain bloodlust of those creatures. And even supported by a dwarf.

I was raised in respecting holy halls, but this is enough for me.
A decision must be taken on the place of silverbrand, otherwise i just leave the holy halls and find a place where dwarfs can life their live.

Maybe, the halls are not holy at all ... How sad that would be

i might not be a Dwarf, but i think as long as you are in Silverbrand, the Kingdom of Dwarfs, the Dwarf has every right to talk to a "Vistor" as he wants.

If you have a problem with that, dont take your Pets in this Place.
By the way Drogla, i think you dishonored yourself in aiding to attack a brother of your folk.

Darlok.. fool! Why would it matter where they are? It is still a sign of lack of respect to the orcs. I would rather say that it depends on the circumstances and not where you are. If I would invite you to my home, and then insult you as harsch as he did to the orc, you would accept it just like that? No, ofcourse not.

as official guard of silverbrand i ask king tialdin for measures against deats. i advice deats to leave silverbrand for ever. silverbrand is not save any longer for him.

i did not aid him. i jsut stood by and told Gimor to stop insulting Deats. no matter where you are, it is not right to insult someone, regardless of race.

I am not a dwarf, nor have I been to thisss Sssilverbrand, but I am to undersstand that it iss owned by the dwarfs, and that any other race are only visssitors and only tolerated by the dwarfsss who built it.

I am not sssure how it isss in thiss Sssilverbrand, but in my home if any other race ever ssso much asss lifted a finger againssst a fellow lizardman within our city there would be no dissscussion. The visssitor'ss head would be a new town decoration. It mattersss not what the lizardman did, asss that isss hisss home.

Anyone who isss not a dwarf who entersss into Sssilverbrand ssshould walk on eggssshellsss and not do anything to irk thossse who call it home.

But, sssince I do not call Sssilverbrand home, nor am I a dwarf, thisss can only be taken asss my opionion, one who hasss no sssay in the matter whatsssoever.

I must agree with both Darlook and Thereadore on this. Drogla, you have shamed your kin.

How can you all know that the orc didn't "walk on eggshells"? Drogla said that the orc was insulted on sight, by the dwarf. Without knowing anything about the orc except that he had green skin.

I give this island two months before total chaos breaks out. It seems no one can agree on anything and every problem is dealt with violently.

In Trollsbane, an insult would be tolorated, but not in the silverbrand, not in a city of Lizardmen, no place else except Trollsbane, correct? so if any human, orc, lizardmand, halfling or elf come down to the silverbrand, i can insult them all i want, just becuase they are guests, and they cant do anything? seems a tad unfair.
what happened to "it is a privolige to have a guest. having a guest shows that you are respected by others." and "the golden rule:::treat others as you would wish to be treated"

Dear citizens

We should not be fighting at a time like this as there are attacks towards the town without warning. The last thing we need are people arguing and fighting so the enemy will cut through as like parchment!

I am not taking sides but pleading that we do not fight in the dwarven city or the town of trollsbane but protect both of them.

As it seems, some poor brothers of ours are weakend by the creatures above. Those brothers seem to have lost their origin.
Hopefully just a temporary thing, but i fear it's a loose of tradition.

Silverbrand, the Halls of the Dwarves...that is their land. So it is written in the Chronicles and so it is. All of not dwarven descent are merely VISITORS in Silverbrand and to walk with respect for that land and its inhabitants.

Deats you had no right to walk into Silverbrand and attack Gimor.

And Drogla, by aiding the orc Deats against your fellow dwarven brother Gimor you dishonored yourself...

Elaralith, i ddi not aid Deats. i was mearly a bistander. Gmor was insulting Deats, and deats reacted. If you where int eh silverbrand and i started insulting you, what would you do? now think about what you would do if you had a short temper. if Gimor insulted me, i woulda killed him too. even if it was taildon who insulted me! there is no reason to disrespect ANYONE without cause.

no one kills someone in silverbrand! only high king tialdin and the clan of the axe is it allowed to kill in silverbrand!

I agree with Drogla. I don't understand what ye people are after? And Elaralith.. *sighs*

Life is unfair. We do not live in a utopia. The simple fact that any violence angers everyone here seems almost ridiculous. Sometimes I wonder if I am living in a make believe world where all is happy all the time.

The point is, that it is OUR home. You are a guest, therefor you should behave like one. We do not force you to enter, to be precise we do not as far as I am concerned even encourage people to do so.
No dwarven blood should be spilled in his own home by the hands of a guest, if you want to do so, do it somewhere else.
Our home, our rules. Simple, you cant obey the rule, then don't enter.
People who obey our laws and rules are welcome, those who don't are not.

First of all, I do not have a short temper...secondly, if I was repeatedly insulted in Silverbrand by a dwarf, I would leave thinking that the hospitality of Silverbrand was somewhat lacking...I would NOT attack the dwarf...Silverbrand is the home of the dwarves...you go into someone's home, you obey their rules!

think like an orc with a short temper, not as a reasonable elf. as an orc with a short temper, you get insulted and quickly react. to you, the orc, that is jsutice. i am NOT saying i agree with that, but it is what it is.
deats and i have been in the silverbrand many times and never had trouble with any other dwarf. As you probly know, i do try to get along with people. gimor could not accept that i was treating Deats a a equal and not as a pet.

Gimor, you deserved it. With all the crap the other races say to us orcs, I think it is FINE he attacked you. I think what he did was actually GOOD and you deserved it, and you know damn well you deserved it. So stop acting like a fool and stop insulting us orcs. I feel like you fear us, and you cover it up with hatred.

And where in the rules does it say that any dwarf got the right to insult a guest?
