Hi,

As in the subject.

I keep getting this message:

"Character couldn't be created (the name is already used)!"

I tried a lot of names, i don't believe they're all in use.

How can i create a character?

Hmmm what names have you tryed?

You are not the only one, which have this problem.
I don´t know why, but it seems so that many people had today the same problem.

Conclusion: I don´t think that was your mistake.

I tried a lot of names, even names like
"firstname secondname thirdname"
and i always get the same message.
It's impossible that all such combinations are in use.

I am sure that something is wrong with the client or the server.

Please help if anyone knows whats wrong and thank you.

Seems to be a bug, wait some days, I think they work on it...

I tried to create a character with several variations of the pattern of the name Taiana Ki'ynosha which I put together , which as far as I can tell dont seem to work

some of the names I have tried are: (btw please dont flame me if they sound stupid, but some constructive criticism would be useful)

Tariana Kiyenosha
Talaina Kleyenasha

as well as some names that come from older languages such as

Eilethi Se'hetha

to name one

its what your Real Name is.. What you put in the Real name blank

Erg my head hurts just trying to say those aloud... But they do seem good female elven names. Thing is there SEEMS to be a problem with creating characters right now. Not sure what it is... But they will have it fixed soon im sure. ( My guess is they turned it off till they can catch up with the account requests but who knows. )

and I initially created my board acct using the name BlueSprite thinking we would be able to change it later, but after trying to change it to Taiana Kiyenasha with no success, I apologize for my disreguard of the rules in that aspect. And Im wondering if there is a way to change the name without having to create a new account?

Not really no... Just go ahead and make your new account with the right name. Plus I wouldnt blame you for the board name. Since you couldnt actually name it correctly without creating a character. So actually wait till you DO create one then name it after that.

When will they fix the bug and how will we get to know if its fixed
I dont want to try it each day with a lot of different names

When will they fix the bug? When they find out the coding error, and fix it.

How will we know? When they tell us on the boards.

have they told allready on the board, that theres ist this bug? do they know that this bug exists?

I’m sure that it has already been told if we are discussing it, as I’m sure they read the forums, if not just to find out what questions people have, then to monitor it for material which is inappropriate.

Just to let you know, i reported the problem in the same time i started the thread here.

Good news: account creating in the client works again!

Bad news and new problem:
I can't request an account from this website. I go to account request and fill the fields, then the system sends me an email, i press the link in the email, then i get this response:

[b]"There are problems:
Your data are not consistent. Please request the account again.
Please request the account again."[/b]

I guess that's another bug on the website.

What to do with it?

PS. And by the way, sorry again for my 'username' but this is another bug - I can't change it on the profile page.

i successfully created an account one hour ago. maybe you should try it again.

You didn't understand.

I created an account in the client too. They fixed the bug and it's working again.

But then you have to request account using the form on the website.
They send you an email. You have to follow the link given in the email and it sends you back to the website. And here is the problem. Instead of succesfully finishing the account request it shows this message:

"There are problems:
Your data are not consistent. Please request the account again.
Please request the account again."

I don't know what to do with this.

a: post your charaktername
b: check if you spelled your charaktername right
c: check if you spelled your password right
d: check if you entered the right email....

I checked the spelling. Everything is 100% ok, and it still doesn't work.
