I hereby testify that Elaralith DID attack Cain with magic in town. So you might wanna add casting in town to the charges. They were simply talking and Elaralith kinda got... Mad I suppose. She then started casting paralyze and then the ice bolt several times. Hope this helps.

Gannon

I,m afraid I can,t say I saw anything for I was not there, but I can say this...
Elaralith is always talking about peace which makes it weird that she would attack anyone but she has been known to do weird things. I dont doubt the fact that Elaralith did this, I think she is guilty and should be punished. Also, I have known Cain for a while now and I have not heard of him to lie. I hope this helps.

Gerard Hugh

I want to first make it clear that I have no affiliation with Cain nor Elaralith. So I have nothing to benefit in this case whatsoever. I am just going to state the facts that I saw and heard.

I was in front of the shop and Cain came up telling everyone that Elaralith had attacked him. Elaralith arrived and Cain and Elaralith started arguing.
Elaralith said that Cain was a drow and she was going to rid the land of drows. Elaralith began casting spells on Cain. She made some comment about how powerful she was and Cain could not stand against her. Cain was trying to flee and some others cast spells on Elaralith and she vanished into thin air.

Well, I ran into Cain, Drathe and Elaralith in the library and seeing as Elaralith and Drathe were talking and Cain's presence was interrupting them, we went downstairs and talked for a while before leaving outside. We stood around for only a few moments when I had to leave quickly to run some errands. I was gone for longer than I had intended, and when I next saw Cain I saw he had burns on his arm and back. I had heard he already accused Elaralith of casting on him while he waited for me, so I guessed that that's what it was from. She was nowhere to be seen when I returned.

I did not see the attacks, but Elaralith did cast on me... spontaneously. Cain witnessed that, as did Pebrarco. I think that her Drow excuse did not apply in my case. :?

Also, let it be known that there were two attacks upon me from Elaralith. One whilst I was waiting for Malinne, and the other in a large group of people. I shall prepare a more thought out testimony shortly.

Bingem,

I never said I would like you as my lawyer. In fact... I specifically stated that I did not wish for anyone as my representative. Here is a copy of my message, for the public to know:

Cain Freemont, in response to Bingem Durthrotgar, wrote: ...no offense to you, but I do not like legal assistance. I believe it is simple enough to speak what has happened rather than having legal council telling me what I should and should not say.
As it is clear to see, I shall be handling my own words.

After a time of writing, Cain finally posts his testimony to Lyrenzia; the truth of what really happened.

After much thinking, I have compile this testimony; a true story of what happened. I certainly hope that justice prevails in this case...

The first of attacks began when Malinne left the area briefly for some errands. I was standing about, waiting patiently for her return when Elaralith passed by my, telling me not to "loiter." I ignored her, as I thought it best not to say anything since she would turn it into an argument as she does so frequently, and when about my waiting.

A few moments later, Elaralith came from the door of the library and said, "So death is your wish? Then let me reward you." Or something to that effect. She then fired a volley of magical ice into my flesh, leaving marks on my arm and back, as I turned to run. I escaped with my life, barely, and headed off to file the first of complaints.

I returned later and found my friends. I told them what had happened. A few moments later, Elaralith showed up yet again, this time at the shop where I and my friends were gathered. She began speaking of how she was to cleanse Drow from the land, then after a few words from others, she later said that it was not a racial matter. I believe her saying this was in response to someone asking her "why do you want to kill all the drow?" A few moments later, she attacked me yet again, still without justified reason. She said that there was a reason, but that we were not to know it. It is obvious she does not have any reason at all, but is trying to cower behind her twisted words and false wisdom. I turned to run yet again, as she began casting on me, only to result in injuries to my back and legs. I managed to escape using an old trick that would conceal my appearance. I came back a few moments later and there were scorch marks on the ground where my friends had tried to keep her from killing me.

It is clear, she has no reason for assaulting me as she did. Furthermore it is clear she wished to kill me for no purpose. I hope that this will suffice and that Lyrenzia shall see the truth in this and take swift action against the criminal, Elaralith.

Concerned,
Cain S. Freemont

Sir, I have no fish. Please stop wasting space on this section of the town wall.

Bah. Sir you really need to make up yer mind. Also, there looks like plenty of space on this section of the wall anyway. I've seen much more areas of this wall that have been wasted more than the amount that I have.

I wonder if there shall be a ruling soon.... Elaralith does not seem to desire a defense for herself.

If ssshe doesss not defend herssself, isssn't that an admition of guild? Are you sure that thisss Elaralith knowsss ssshe is on trial?

Perhapsss a dissspatch (PM) ssshould be sssent to her ssso that you are sssure ssshe is aware.

Never mind... I've sssearched the wallsss and sssee ssshe did write about her own trial today, ssso ssshe isss checking the wallsss.

To form anykind of opinion, I think that we need her version of the story, too. If we do not recieve it, we then must suppose that she does not disagree with Cain's version.

Hmmm...the truths left out from some of these testimonies really is ...laughable. I really did not plan on making a defence for such a ridiculous accusation...but at the request of so many I have...I will not though be writing for this trial again, so don't bother with insults and hate-writings...

The Truth:

Elaralith was provoked numerously by the Drow elf Cain Freemont in the form of nonstop insults. Elaralith was also attacked at one time by Cain Freemont who attacked with spells. In defence, Elaralith used spells against Cain, who did ask for his death. Elaralith did not ever kill Cain...she only used spells to drive him off in self - defence.

Testimony ended.

May Justice rise through the lies,
~Elaralith, Priestess of Elara~

He used nonstop insults against you?

Continues to laugh.

Maybe you should have put that your lies rise through the justice!

Laughs some more.

Lyrenzia,

Elaralith's testimony is false. I did not in anyway initiate an assault upon her, but rather used a spell of paralysis in my own defense, so as to protect against her barrage of ice. I still have the scars if need be shown. Elaralith is now lying in her testimony. I did not insult her "nonstop." Also, it should be noted that she is using my name with the prefix of Drow to ensnare the opinions of those who dislike the general Drow population into thinking poorly of me. Thus, she is using a racial generalization.

I never asked for death. I have honestly no idea what she is talking about. I was standing, waiting for Malinne, and Elaralith came from the library saying, "Death is your wish? So be it." Never once did I say I wanted it. Elaralith's entire testimony about her "self-defense" is a sham and it should be noted that she is using her former, yes former, good name to try to sway the opinions of Lyrenzia. Please do not be fooled by this.

Please see Elaralith for the liar and would-be murderer she is as I have seen firsthand, having experienced such scars.

With gratitude,
Cain S. Freemont

Elaralith, recently you have become violent, and irrational. You behave not like a Priestess of Elara, but an insane Worshipper of Moshran. There has been a great rising number of complaints about you, and you cannot be allowed to behave like this.Your lies and false testimony are nothing but words of a Corrupted Mind.

How come Elaralith gets a trial for casting, but I don't? And how come she doesn't get killed for it? Is it because she wears two shields all the time? ((bad RP))

Not to rush the ruling, or anything of the like, but when can we expect there to be a final ruling of this case? I would like to get this over with and have justice done.

Elaralith has been found guilty of the following charges:
1) Cain Freemont accuses Elaralith of an unjustified attack against herself

The total sentence for these crimes are 5 hours of prison.

Elaralith now has 24 hours to choose imprisonment. If she does not choose imprisonment by this time, she will then be labeled as "Exile" for 5 days.

Lyrenzia,

is this the punishment Elaralith gets for her behaviour towards Cain?
Probably you have forgotten Elaralith's behaviour toward me and in
some way also Tifareth.
For her false and unseeming behaviour she will not be stripped officially
from her title as "Priestess of Elaralith"?

Zerbus, Lyrenzia does not have the power to strip her of the title only the high priest and prietesses can do so, and I have already informed them of Elaralith's actions.
