Casting on self

Post by Rynt »

Twice I have accidentaly cast on myself, and I do not like the Message "Stop Powergaming!" At all.I was not powergaming, it was an accident.Even more, since people do not like casting in town, I am forced outside the bounds of the city, far from the cross.This has lost me skills.Perhaps, instead of dying, it should do the spell on you, give you no Training in anything, and do double damage, but not kill?

And that message should be changed, as many do it by accident, and are not powergaming.

This has been discussed before many times;
Currently, it is the only real chance of 'backfiring' the spell (And that too is removed by the wand), and therefore I think it should remain.
You are toying with powers far out of your reach, mortal. :wink:
It is only logical that you cannot completely harness them, we need more backfiring.

Actually,
repeatly casting a spell without the propose to kill a monster or anthing harmful is Powergaming in my Eyes.

Darlok i think it´s to rigorous, if you say you can only cast if you have to attack a monster or the like. Of course that is again the question, Powergaming or training? But as far as concerns only a few spells i would say it´s still training.

btw.: Here is one of the topic with the same content: "Stop powergaming"
