As of late there has been much talk about this 'wall'. In respects to assisting the town, what would you like to see happen?
[edited: I included some rather presumptious things in the original post that have been removed.]

Avrillon walks up to the wall and smiles
Good to see your asking our opinion. I was thinking, maybe a few adjustments to the wall and keep building it, or, use drathe's idea for a moat. A moat i think would be much easier to make and less costly.

As stated before;
This is not the final version of the wall, and the current wall is not like we intended. We have concidered the moat, but currently the builders say that its not possible. ((Don't ask, technical stuff I hear.))

I feel the town was made in our best interests, but I also believe it is built far too near the town, thus leaving no room for expansion within it's perimiter, and also cutt the good field outside the tavern in half.

Yes, we Hobbits often use this field for farming and the like. Fish are also quite plentiful by it's edge. Perhaps if ye were to build the wall several feet south of this field, the Hobbits would be more accepting of it.
quit your complaining

Go out of town to farm. The town wall is in our best interests.

There is also room next to the cross and in the garden to plant things.

Well, I suppose I didn't gauge the nay-sayers correctly. They don't seem to be responding in positive ways, only negative.

hmm, perahaps wer could have defens towers at the gates. ((a squared off place using the crenelations, like at the gate near the tavern)) As i stated in a previous note, why not show the publice a rough blueprint of where the wall is supposed to be?

Walls mean borders, borders prevent freedom! Let's show them we don't accept chains, let's tear them off!

Yes, I dont like the wall. Besides, our town is boring anyhow. Protection from what? nechromancer attacks? Hmmm...i have an idea! Hide in the forest or something!
Anyhow, i also like to farm in that area, And its the best place to plant at;fertile soil, by a nice big depot, by the river for fish, and by the forest for wood while waiting for your crops to grow.
This wall, is only taking away our freedom, i think.
How is it being paid for? is Lyrenizia going to charge taxes or something?! They best, not!
Seth Calms down.
Anyhow....I dont like the wall.

Avrillon rolls his eyes when he reads the recent messages
Lyrenzia already stated they would not charge taxes. The wall is being payed for by donations from guilds and persons. I would also have to agree the wall does cut off from the farmland, and if it is currently going to be built where the pillars stand next to the forest, the lumberjacks will be made to work harder, and prices will go up, carpentered items will be more scarce than they already are. I think we need a different route around the forest, or, i was thinking maybe put a gate on that side as well. People beleive what they do because they want to, scarce a way to make them beleive otherwise.

Instead of looking a bluprint of what is theoretically effective to build, you can simply make suggestions for where to build and what to change and see it as it's happening.
Walls take away your freedom to do ____?
Please don't throw around the word freedom like you automatically associate it with the word "good" without understanding that freedom is only on one side of a balance to society's welfare.
Are those people who are still complaining about the farmland complaining about the wall which is south of the tavern pavement now? If so a huge portion of farmland is still available and it's only less convienient to reach the narrow strip along the river.
Now is it just me or is the safety of our lives just a little bit more important than a small inconvenience?

Hi
I can kill demons, however I am concerned with the safety of others!! I do not want a demon stealing all of my potential customers!! Now the wall does not restrict anything, simply leave town!!
