Why is the music so bland?

No offense or anything I just dont like the music. If you would like a better song to put just email me and Ill send it to you. It sounds so nice, very soothing.

The music is good, but the hearing the same thing does get tiring. Instead of having the staff come up with music, or something along that line you could just listen to music on your own, using your CD drive on your computer or a stereo system.

you can alt tab out of the client for a short while, i do this to change songs.

The Music will change with one of the next Clients.

I dont even know what the music sounds like, my computer has a CD player, I use it.

I suggest downloading some Final Fantasy Midis. These shall add to the fantasy atmosphere.

If the game music has sucky music I play these. I also play all the character themes, and the sephiroth theme if something evil is happening.

That would be funny, everytime I walk into town the Sephiroth music plays.

'Doo doo doo...dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...doo doo doo...doooooo doooooo.'

Also sort of annoying. Imagine if I walked in and out...

(Sephiroth music plays for 2 seconds.)
(Normal music plays.)
(Sephiroth...)
(Normal...)

Hah, I can go on and on.

But the best one is the chocobo song

You can just imagine a betting shop for racehorses.....and it plays the Chocobo song.

I don't listen to the music. Got a little annoying after a while. I just switched to no music at all. Gives you a more realistic feel. Did you ever hear loud music playing when walking around in your yard?

Perhaps if the game's musician made such music to suit situations...scary music for attacks etc...

The battle music is good and all....but when your outside of the shop or the tavern it is quite bothering. The music is kind of plain. The other two musics are fine though. I find them nice.

Well i gald i found some where where people know final fantasy songs & listen to them when their not playing final fantasy.But i think (Illarion)would be even Better if the muisic changed when things happened EX: a war broke out in town and many people die then for a little while the Otath (squall theme from FF8) could play, i know it would be hard to make this happen in the game but it would be so cool another EX: let's there's a temple (i know there not but just go with me ok)
a great song for the temple would be the hymn of the fayth (FFX).well i could keep giveing examples but i'll stop for now.

Maybe so. You must remember that not everyone likes the same music as others. Everyone has their own opinion. I like the music the way it is. I think it would be rather hard to try to change the music when a town war is about to happen. It would be interesting though...

Why don't we just replace Illarion with FF? sheesh....

I have to say, I laughed for a long time when reading your post Kassume. Maybe not everyone would want Final Fantasy music. Why not replace Illarion music with "Darkstone" music? Why not replace Illarion music with "Chrono Cross" music? Everyone has their own opinion. Plus, they would be taking music off of another game. I wouldn't like to be traveling around listening to music that is off of a PlayStation game.

@Adano, yeah some completelly original muisic, denpinged on how good the muisic was, and @Lotho your right not every one likes the same stuff so EX: let's put in music from some of the diff. role playing games that have made role playing what it is to day(FF,Chrono Cross,breath of fire,etc...) and throw in some original muisic to. Yes makeing music chang when things happen would be hard, but it would set the mood for what's happening, I mean it's kinda of werid when people are dieing and there's a happy little tune playing that sounds like it should be in a peacefull elfin town not a battle feild
