I don't know if this is something that is reportable and I'm to new to the game to know if it illegal but I was standing in town when someone came up to me today and asked me why I killed them.  I responed by tell them that I had just logged on and I don't kill anyone anyways.  He then proceeded to attack me, so I fled and shouted at him.  Now shortly after he logged off.  Then along comes an elf - player (13287) - who asks me why I pked him.  I asked it if it was him or his friend that just attacked me.  He said yes, I then proceeded to tell him again that I didn't pk anyone and have no interest in pking.  He follows this by saying hes sorry and asked if I want to go train, I tell him no I'm wanting to smith ore today.

He then walks away and then returns and asks me to hit him.  I tell him "no, I don't hit players!"  He then walks away and goes to a player 9610 and asks them to hit him.  Player 9610 questions why and the 13287 responds to increase my perry.  I hear fighting noise and then 9610 says "no! your using your weapon!"  Then 13287 say "whats wrong with that?"  So they are arguing for a bit, I'm smithing and only half paying attention.  Well then I notice they are fighting again and this time 9610 dies or logs off, either way he disappeared.  Now this player 13287 then proceeds back into the smithing area and kills me.  I was smithing at the time a noticed it once I turned into a spirit.  People around me ask him why he did that and then someone tries to revive me.  But they cannot so I go to the yellow cross, by the time I return he is gone and no one can tell me where he went.  So I shrug it off, a little upset, but I wanted to smith and that was all.  So i return to smithing, this elf 13287 then return and I ask him why he pked me.  He said because I pked him earlier.  I again tell him that I didn't and now to leave me alone.  I return to smithing and then he begins casting posion cloud or gas all aroud the river in town.  I have a screen shot of the casting portion but nothing more then my word on the other events.

Oh one more thing, while him an 9610 were agruging I recall something about him saying that he coldn't be killed because Lief or Leif was his "in RL brother."

I have been playing Illarion for a very short period of time.  I don't know who this player is and I don't want to.  What I am wanting to know is this considered acceptable behavior for this RPG?  Moreover is it considered RPing at all?!?

You did right by posting that here. And yes, if a person behaves like that, he is not roleplaying a single bit, and does not belong here.

It also helps to verify what you said when you provide the date and time of when it happened

I can do that as well, the date was Febuary 19th, 2002 and the time was right around 6pm boards time.  I posted this message within 10 min of the entire occurance.

Date and time are important, but not enough. Best would be a screenshot with the things that have been said ( or an EXACT spelling of a sentence said, including upper- and lowercase )

Well the only screen shot I took was this player casting spells in town.  The enitre "argument" and him pking me wasn't captured.  At the time this was occuring it wasn't my first instinct and I don't if there is a way to save a log of events or conversations... heck on my client I can't even scroll back to see what someone said 30 seconds ago.  And I don't want to misquote anyone, so I can only give a general discription and progression of the events and conversations... mainly what I have listed above.

Hopefully this is not a problem I will encounter again.  I don't want to waste time in the game watching and waiting for individuals like this to destory it.  I'd much perfer to get back to RPing and regaining the skill that I lost.  As for the individual that did (does) this, if they are reprimanded all the better.

Can't the server logs be checked just for a certain time, without providing quotes?

I don't need any screenshots, times or dates, since I have already found this in the logs yesterday.

what do the logs look like?

If I said what parts the logs include, people could avoid beeing logged...

I was not so put off by the event as to quit.  I realize that it is only a game and I can't begin to list the people that I have met that I truely enjoy interacting with.  One bad apple doesn't mean the entire barrel is bad.
