This morning I met Viola and Nilo and I had the inspiration to make breakfast for all three of us. So, I went and got some fruits for cakes, some bacon and some dough. I made a spended breakfast and everything was perfect and just as we began to ate an overweight halfing comes walking over. He begins to yell and holler and ruin are quiet little breakfast. Then he steals some cakes and ham from Nilo and 1 loaf of bread from me. He then laughs and runs away. Later he comes back saying I killed him twice, when I didn't, and Viola can say I didn't because I was with her the whole time. So, he kills, needless to say I got him back, but he already had eaten the food so he couldn't give it back. So I want all the towns people to know of this theif. He is about this height ((3)), very overweight maybe ((5)) pounds. His name is Athin as well. So remember, Athin the theif, and he will gloat about what he has stolen.
Thanks for reading.

"Sounds to me as if there are some thieves. I wonder if there are any beer thieves..."

Is this halfling new to the town? And yet....I would have taken that bacon if I knew it was going to be stolen anyways.

Head drops in disapointment

Such good food. Wasted on a silly halfling. Oh sorry...I am the eater you know. :D

After reading the message, Paul Laffing takes out his bow.

Dunthor, in some drunken manner or another, attacked Fooser, so I killed him with an arrow. Let it be known! Any thieves shall be dealt with by me.

Paul quickly strings an arrow into his bow and goes to inspect the happenings in the town.

Keep in mind...some thieves are organised and attack in groups, or one may try to steal and if he gets injured he could call for help for his group may be close by hiding.

Now paul. Don't go shooting people for stealing. Killing them immediatly isn't the solution. If the theif runs from you then it gives you the right to shoot in him right in his tracks.

I say it is best to kill the thief as soon as possible. It is not like he will take an item from you and give it back right away. ((And by the way did you ever get the idea that the thief could "log out"))

If the theif does the not cooperate or tries to get away I would then attack him. (Logging out would show cowardness. Plus would be dumb to call yourself a theif if you don't show to the consenquences.)

((It would be dumb to call your self a thief outloud in public anyways))

Why would you let the thief get a head start. He maybe faster than you.

Give him a head start? Shooting him would stop him in his tracks. Although a warrior would have a small problem stopping a theif.

I must say something. Killing somone, just because they stole some food, or anything else for that matter, isnt very logical. If you are a mage, then you can easily paralyze him in his tracks, no need to kill him, unless he keeps running, and keeps running, and keeps on. And even so, you still shouldnt kill him I dont think.

((in real life, You wouldnt kill anyone just for stealing something. Think on that.))

Yes, Theives must be dealt with, and sometimes killing is needed, but not required. Kiling should be the worst punishment for somone.

Actually........Killing would not be the worst punishment, for some would wish they die. What you should do is capture him, then torture him and make every one on the whole island know of his falure. You should do all this and make him wish he were dead. Then maybe if he is too hard to deal with, MAYBE, you can grant his wish.

(( I think I read somewhere on the website that if a theif steals something and you catch him then they have to give what they stole back, like as if you took it back. Correct me if Im wrong. Also it is against the rules to log out while you are being attacked, its not roleplaying))

But what if your not a mage? You wouldn't be able to cast these fancy spells to stop him! What is a warrior suppose to do?

A warrior can always stop thieves in their tracks by knocking them unconscious with a skilled rap on the head...

True, for if a thief would ever steal an ingot, or just try, then just one hit from my two dwerfen axes will certinly knock him/her out.
