Retiring...

Xerake smiles, then carefully writes the message for the walls for all to see...

After a long, hard decision making quest, I have decided to retire from the job of assassination. The reason being, is that there are lack of jobs these days, and it's better for my health. Not to mention, I'm considered to be the weakest of the strongest when it comes to fighting, and assassination demands great strength.

Don't think I regret the past, however! I still view assassination as an honorable job for lizardkind, and I don't regret the wealth I've made from it (then spending it on bottles for good ol' alchemy :) ).

Being a strong warrior is my goal as of today still. I just certainly hope that no wanker responds to my message by telling me "I have chosen the way of the light/good/etc" or something cheesy like that. Just because my morals are different from yours doesn't mean they are incorrect.

I'm not going to give you any of that nonsense, but I just have to ask you something, since when does assassination require great strength?

I don't think they are of great strength. Not to my knowledge at least. They are just sneaky. Have to watch your step in town.

They must have great strength and sneaky abilities. Poison isn't always a guaranteed success, so you have to come after the target with full force sometimes...

How can a huge balky man with muscles possibly be sneaky?

I don't have big, bulging muscles for one. I simply have trained skill in blades.
Two, a big burly man with muscles can be sneaky...all they need is not to stomp when they run, and they must be quick.

In the eyes of lizardkind, it is honorable...

I still cannot see how this is so. And it is not the sounds that the person makes it is just how they look. And I never said that you were big with muscles. I was just saying that's all. Still good to hear that you left assasin. Was beginning to think you couldn't walk the streets without fear.

Please explain though how you think a assasin's job is honorable in a lizard's sense?

Well...it's strange to other races, but showing power over power is something considered honorable. You're risking your life to either save another, or to compensate for a life that was previously lost.

It just feels good to keep balance...

I guess I still do not understand and I fear I never will. I won't ask anymore if it will make you happy.
