Blacksmithed/Goldsmithed Items...

If anyone wishes to purchase any blacksmithing or goldsmithing items, please let me know if I am around. I have gathered up some iron ore and coal, and produced many blacksmithed items. I have a lot I need to sell. On the way, I created some rings. I don't expect a lot of gold from the items that I make.

Hmm...
I do not wish to purchase an item from you. I will trade. I will give you 234 ruby rings for 2 diamond rings.

Zephyr Ironfist, I am willing to make that trade with you if you are interested. I have two diamond rings, made by an experienced old dwarf from the east.

I will trade with the person I run into. I'll be in Silverbrand or in the forest.

I suppose you'll probably run into him first anyways, so I'll withdraw my offer and let a poor dwarf make a profit.

Randelf. Can you make me a ruby ring? I have been meaning to find one but, it seems no one has any. How much would it cost for a simple ruby ring?

Dear Kasume
As SMACC proposed, the minimal prize for a ruby ring is 150 GS.
A list of minimal prices for items you can see in the Lyrenzia Castle under SMACC.

Is there really an SMACC list in Loronzio? I don't want to go in there, though, because I'm afraid I might accidentally burn something...

First of all, you had to learn to pronounce Lyrenzia correctly.
I always see you misspelling the Foundation, but i believe that´s intention to annoy us.
You speak about something, where you not even able to spell the name rightfully. That isn´t a good sign for you and your authenticity, if you continue in such manner the Foundation will ignore you.
Secoundly, yes SMACC is a part of Lyrenzia, and you should better take it seriously.
Don´t forget, you live in a town with rules and not in chaos, where you can do what you want without consequences.

What? Are you sssaying we mussst take SMACC sseriousssly? You are absssurd.
If thisss isss the foundation'sss purpossse the battle will ssstart sssooner than later. The foundation can not control the value of itemsss.

I do not discuss with you, your arguments are worthless and the only thing you can is to threat with violence.
And who said the Foundation control the value of goods? The economy do it themself, it needs only a few representatives to write the prices down.

I say this not as a representor, but as a citizen and most important, also one person of 'the people'.
I agree with Fieps,
If the foundation would say: 'White is white.'
You would reply : 'No! White is black, and the people will fight against you!'
If the foundation would say: 'White is black.'
You would reply: 'No! White is white, and the people will fight against you!'
*I* think that what you are looking for, is merely some attempt-of-an-excuse to kill, murder and 'fight'.
That is not official opinion of Lyrenzia or any of its representors.

I would be more than happy to make you a ring Kasume. All you have to do is search arounf for me sometime. If you wish for me to make some more rings, let me know. I have plenty to sell. As I said before, if you want some blacksmithed items let me know to.

So we have to follow prices set by smacc? This might help the economy, BUT any merchant should have the right to sell their goods at whatever price they see fit.

Prices have never been "set".
Even SMACC only sets minimum prizes, below which goods should not be sold. Nobody forces you to use exactly these prices. If you feel that your goods are worth more then that, sell them for whatever you think as a suitable price.

That is good to hear. I sell my smithed items for cheap, people seem to like that. I don't ALWAYS sell my items for cheap, but most of the time. I would be angry if I were forced to sell them for a certain price, but at least you don't HAVE to.

Smacc define only the minimum price / border.
Every merchant is allowed to affect his own prices for his products/ goods, but not under this border.
So we can settle rules for our trading and ensure that hopefully all can deal fair.
I believe it will ever be a mystery for me why so many merchants act against Smacc and don´t support it.

By living in this town, I have the right to sell items I smith at the price I want to. YOU CAN NOT REVOKE THIS RIGHT. I can tell you this, although I am not bloodthirsty like Thereadore, there will be fighting if you try to take away this right.

Who in this town does not know that SMACC had existed long before the Lyrenzia Foundation did?
Mostly those who oppose anything before thinking about the REASON that SMACC exists and don't realize that there have always been merchants who uphold the standards of SMACC, and that Lyrenzia is just another "merchant" who has taken the initiative to change the prices of SMACC according to the economy's needs. SMACC has always existsed, regardless of Lyrenzia.
Lyreniza has not even said anything about forcing anybody to follow SMACC, but a few are whining and complaining about their rights. Anybody is free to sell at whatever price they want, but don't be surprised that there are some people who will cut the heads off of those individuals who destroy the economy of town because of their own selfishness and poor understanding.

Dyluck, I do hope you realise that Paul and Thereadore are some of the most petty objects currently in this world, and as such argue for the sole sake of validating their pathetic lifes...

That´s not true. You came into this town/land, which have their own rules, rights, laws and so one. It was your free will nobody forced you to do this, and in a stranger land you have to respect the existing circumstances and must follow them.
If you don´t do it the caretaker from this country have all rights to punish you.
Where would we end, if everybody could say "I will not follow these rules, because over my acting decide only me, nobody else" ?

So basically, I'm just a scapegoat, because pretty much everyone I see sells under those prices, but no one ever says anything. If you would take some of your "precious" time to look at my prices before saying they are bad in your ignorance, you would see they are all above SMACC. The only reason you complain is because your greedy selves feel that if you kill me, thats one less competitor to you. I have nothing better to say to those who feel that they can justify any of their shortcomings with insults of others.

I remember, you was the one who said, you see no reason to follow the Smacc prices, so don´t complain now.

Not true..... Shovels 1g / Hammer 1g
Smacc says. ---> Tools : 5 G
Better control such allegations before you make it.
paul laffing wrote: but no one ever says anything
That´s also not true, i say often something, and by you i did it too.
Fieps from Apr 09, 2003 wrote:

That´s in my eyes a iniquity / insult against the normal economy and other smith´s.
After that you didn´t changed your prices, although i showed you your fault. So never say again, nobody would say something, if people not respect the Smacc prices.
