Red Outline

Is there any reason why the red outline around the tile you put your cursor over is not the same shape as the tiles themselves?
Just pointing this out.

What do you mean? I see nothign wrong with the red square at all. I think it's perfectly fine the way it is, unless you're talking about it being a pixel off or something somewhere, and if you are then I think that is too little to worry about.
I have never noticed anything wrong with it.

The red border is slightly wrong. It does not have exactly the size of one tile and it is misplaced by one pixel.
Nothing to worry about.

I havent noticed this problem, but I think that the red outline should be changes to somethin else, it highlights the squares too much.

Do we actualy need these red boarder lines?
Maybe if its taken away we wont notice the tiles that much?

The red lines are required to locate accurately a square you are about to walk to.
Besides, I think we've all gotten quite used to them, so I doubt they'll be going anywhere soon.

Sure we go used to them, i saw them for at least 2 years everytime i log into Illarion.
But do we
need them? Is there a reason to see that the world of illarion is broken up into symetrical Tiles?
If something lies in the ground i see where it lies, i dont need to know that there is a tile around it.
So my question is, would Illarion look better if the player doesnt see the boarders of the tiles when he points with his cursor on them?

Sometimes it is helpful to see which tile you have selected. Say you are in the demon cave with many others. You are standing next to the demon and want to attack it. Since you can't see where the cursor is (you are in a hurry mind you), you attack them by mistake (Ctrl+Click).
@Martin:
You can think of it that way, but then why were all the floor tiles redone to be the correct shape?

I think the red outline fits just fine. To say it is one pixel off is getting a little too picky.
And yes we do need it in order to be sure we are targeting the right monster and not one of our companions.
