I Demand Justice!

I have recently had a near-death experience in our fair town of trollsbane. I was ontop of the roof of the library looking towards the area where the mummies reside. Eventually a hafling came out to admire the view also, apparently.
A short while later a lizard also came up, who identified himself as Salathe Kakas. I greeted him and continued to look out towards the town. Eventually a human ran up and said something along the lines of "Get him" and the seemingly peaceful hafling set the ladder on fire. I thought of leaping from the roof when a human and a hadling showed up.
By now there was no way to leave the roof so I moved close to the edge incase I needed to escape. The hafling then started trying to kill people, but was slain himself.
After that was done the human who said 'get him' ran up behind me. The other human pointed a bow and me and began to interogate me, I think. He may have been talking to the human. Eventually the human ran away and I was left.
After a short time of being interrogated one of the people who had come up the ladder began to shoot spells at me, I leaped off and tried to run away.
They caught up with me and a human aimed a bow at my head and began asking me more questions, about 'the cult'. Eventually they started talking about how they were going to execute me, so I ran. An orc who wasn't out for blood was helpful enough to aid me in my escape, and I fled to the woods.
This mob has no right to assault me in this fashion! They are holding me responsible for the actions of the hafling, for no apparent reason. I demand they be restrained from harming me.

Elaralith writes a letter to Mashan Da'hok in response to his demand, which she sends by dove:
Greetings,
It is well known that bloodthirsty interrogators and patrol officers now roam Trollsbane...but you must understand this is mostly due to the rise of the Blackstone cult which has caused many peaceful folks to be highly suspicious of any who wield magic. I suggest that if you are one well known to be a pyromancer in the past to stay away from Trollsbane until everything cools down...I myself will, as I have been doing for the past few moons now, talk to these patrol peoples and calm their high tempers and suspicions which cause them to do violent things.
Elara protect you and grant you justice,
~Elaralith, Priestess of Elara~

It disturbs me how quickly people take arms against their own brothers when a new "evil guild" arrives. Yes, that last sentence was supposed to make evil guilds/cults sound commonplace, since evil organizations seem to be so lately. People are now taking up arms immediately at the first sign of something potentially dangerous and appointing themselves as "Patrol Officers," when really these people just seek a reason to fight. I am not saying that keeping the streets clean is bad, however think of it this way:
When the bloodthirsty "patrol officers" run out of criminals to hunt, they will denounce their titles, I am sure, but what will become of their pent-up aggression? It will eventually be passed onto the people. This is how a society works. With or without justice, injustice still grows, yet sometimes faster, when seeking revenge.

Cain are you sure about this? You have not once spoke to me about your opinions at all. Cain perhaps you should find out about something before you begin to dismiss it as another power hungry group. Secondly I doubt that this elf has told teh whole story and got two groups into 1 group. I only was at the end, but the first group was probably Brendan Mason and Bloodhearte, the second was Boremier, Drathe, Crosis and myselft. And if I am correct you never said that you weren't apart of the cult. So that of course led us to believe you were apart of it. Either way I am sorry if you really aren't apart of the cult. But Everyone else seemed to be positive you did use a flame spell on the library.

I don't need to know from your mouth if the guild is just another "power hungry guild." It is simple enough. Guilds are created for what ultimate purpose? Recognition. No matter how you look at it, whether the guild is for a gathering place of friends, or a cult of "evil," it is still based around the quest of recognition. However, what lies under recognition is power. Through recognition comes the reputation that someone is either good or bad. Either way, good or bad, people are still power hungry.
That said, Bumbol, I did nothing to mention "power hungry" guilds besides the fact that they are all self-appointed, self-rightous groups of people. People do not do things for others "just out of the kindness of their hearts." Things are done for others in hopes that others will trust and do things for them. Its alright if you are too afraid to admit it, no one has done so thus far.

Oh? I haven't told the whole story? Did I lie about anything that happened when you were present? You can ask you over-zealous friends if I lied about anything else as well. Luckily the last time I met them they were to drunk to decide to try and slay me.

Watch your mouth about what you say about my Friends kid!
Cain, when I see you next I will tell you what the group is about, it isn't not a guild, just a group. It is not permanent it will not try and enforce laws and it will not go out and attack random people.

He is probably much older than you, not to mention twice your size, and therefore no kid to you.

Guild: An association of persons of the same trade or pursuits, formed to protect mutual interests and maintain standards.
And... if your association of persons of the same trade or pursuits, formed to protect mutual interests and maintain standards does not do anything you mentioned, what is it you do?

I would never attack a friend of mine just because he was in the cult.
Secondly how dare you Cain call the Patrol Officers bloodthirsty, who are you to say anything when you nothing about the Patrol Officers.

Drathe walks past with a thumping headache and stops to read the variouse posts through slinted open, bloodshot eyes. After barley being able to read them he scribbles a quick note '
