sorry to brake it to you but some take 3 weeks =( you should hang around the forums and get to know people or just forget about illarion for a little and check your email every so often.
and i hope your forum name isnt your ingame name, even if it isnt you should change it to your ingame name, it will give people a nicer impression of you

3 weeks is utterly ridiculous. How do they expect people to stay interested? That is about the worst thing i've ever heard regarding an online game. I've played them before and i've never run into something so shoddy. I don't care how good the game is; what do they sit around a table and discuss your account in depth before approving you.
Don420 has always and will always be my monicker when dealing with things online, its my handle if you will. No it isn't my in game name. Asking a question about getting my account approved is something that revolves around me not my character so there is no reason to post this question as my character.

If you are bored with you wating time, there is a simple but very effective solution:
Leave
And indeed your account will be discussed, this is a very elitary community of Roleplayers(with some Exceptions), not everyone get into the game.
If you had used the time of wating with reading the boards, you would have noticed that this has be discussed MANY times before. The account system had been changed, because to many applications came in a single day and flooded the postboxes.
Stay quiet and calm or leave.
Its up to you to decide.

Seriously man.....
What do they look at? All I did was create a character, what is there to evaluate? Are they doing background checks on me? Is that them in the white van outside my house with the huge dish on top?
Man do I hope i'm "elite" enough to be in your club. Sheesh I just want to play a game, and this one looked like fun.

Don420, you have just initiated the application process by doing what you have done. They will send you an email (presumably, unless your requested name violated the name rules at which point they will point and laugh at you as they delete your request) and in this email they will ask you a series of questions and you will have to complete a story in rp fashion. After you do this and send it back to them there will be another wait while they read your response and the countless others that are in their hands now. If you are accepted the response saying that you were accepted will be sent to yet another GM who will activate your account. This can take a few days but once it is done you can play as much as you like!
This was before they updated the application system and I do not know what exactly was changed or altered in it but the answer to you is still the same. Wait patiently and don't complain or you'll only get on the bad side of those who are reviewing your application. As a reference for you, know that there are some players that waited over a month to be able to play after applying and there are some who were able to play after a much shorter time. There are only so many hours in the day for applications to be processed by someone in their free time. They don’t get paid for this and have a real job, a real life first and work on illarion second.
If you have more questions try using the search function on the forums to look for other posts on the same topic. Players get a little tired of answering the same question hundreds of times because people are too lazy to look for the answers themselves. There should also be more information on the new application system, that is what I will go look for now using that search funtion! Happy waiting and I hope to see you in game shortly!

He's just saying that Don420 is his nickname or screen name for all online dealings and will not be his character name. He was asking the question about the waiting time as himself and thus was not required to ask as his character name, because of this Don420 is just as appropriate as any other name. He doesn't need to ask as his character name.
The white vans. Now that's a whole new problem he'll have to deal with soon when the illarion spy network tracks him down and begins their 25-hour/day surveillance.

He is not talking about the in game board. He was talking about all things ooc related. I'm sure he will have his own character named account for the rpg board. That's what he said anyway. He's talking as the player not the character now so he has this name, when he is talking as the character he will have that name.

I've been reading some posts now, and I like the way Darlok treats the impatient people.
You can compare it with a poor hardworking farmer. He is patient and waits till he can harvest his hard work. Complaining won't make his crops grow faster and it won't give him a better harvest...

I must say... This game looks totally awsome! I am an avid roleplayer and was just looking around for a game where roleplaying was required. I only wish that the application process was shorter.... *sighs*

Reasons we can't have more people doing accounts
1)All the other gamemasters are too busy
2)It would just get confusing. They may not agree on some things
3)No players doing it either. They will have access to your password.
I don't believe it. I actually agree with Darlok.

Woah, hold it a sec. Does that mean december 2003? Or does that mean the 12th of March? Or is it the third of december?

In Germany we write the date in this sequence 12.3.2003 ( day/month/year )
not 3.12.2003 or other time-descriptions.
