to give my opinion on that:
NO.
there's no reason which would justify that. if you're an elf, you are an elf, there's nothing that yould make you a dwarf or a lizardman. changing the gender would eventually be possible if someone invents surgery or something, but changing race is impossible (as far as i am concerned). however, it's up to bror to decide that.

Why not? If sean is that creative to imagine a story why his race changes.... But I think most of his creativity is used for fighting and starting wars.

really heavy you could become a hafling or a dwarf
