Greetings to the few who remember me and the many I hope to get to know. I have discovered that retirement is more boring than I thought possible. Being too old to work for a living I have decided to return to my post as a merchant. I realise my past problem was caused by my pride and I fell victim of my own conceit. This time I will keep my feet on the ground and my mind my own. I shall be looking to restock my shop so if any of you have things to sell or trade I will seek you out. This time I might also be hiring people so if you are new to town and need some part time work keep an eye out for me.

Welcome back! I believe you will set an example for all merchants.

Ellaron walks past the shop board and observes some notes pinned below his. He stops and scribbles his reply.
Thankyou Roke I will try to live up to your expectations.
I am a merchant Paul, I buy from craftsmen and sell to others. Why not just buy from craftsmen yourself? Perhaps you don't have time to travel to each craftsman to buy their particular speciality. I also offer trade so if you are poor in wealth but have unneeded goods I'm sure we could come to an arrangement. As for a partnership, thankyou for your offer but I am a small operation and intend to stay that way.
Ellaron casts an eye over his writing to make sure it legible and, satisfied, pins it up on the board.

Ellaron sees the note from Caranthir and tries to remember where his pen is. Finding his pen behind his ear after looking for it for ten minutes he realises he's forgotten why he wanted it. Tutting and muttering something about old age he spies the note from Caranthir and starts to write.
Hello again Caranthir. I must apologize, for though my sanity has returned my memory is still as good as ever. I will seek you out though and we can quaff a few ales and put the world to rights, I'm sure you have some tales to tell.
Ellaron reads over what he's written and pins it to the board. He curses as he realises he's forgotten why he came to the shop in the first place.

Lo Ellaron!
'tis good to hear that ye have come back to reason. Now don't you forget that we offered ye a place among us before ye left... that place is still there for the taking. Think about it,.

Catching sight of Mishracks note as he scans the wall, Ellaron removes his cloak, places it on the ground and begins to write a reply.
Mishrack my old friend! Glad I am to see you are still around. I have searched for you but have only found rumours of where you might of gone. I have returned to a much changed Trollsbane. Eerie silence fills the town where the cacophony of craftsmen at their trades once echoed off the walls. Even Silverbrand, who's fame had reached me, lay still and quiet, a subterranean ghost town. Anyway, enough nostalgic melancholy. Thankyou again for your offer but I feel I need to stay small and find my feet again. I will, however, be in need of some of your fine quality weapons and armour. I look forward to seeing you again, though I realise you are busy enough running your empire.
Ellaron smiles and wanders off. Lost in memories he does not notice his cloak lying on the ground, easy pickings for a passing thief.
