Hallo zusammen!

Wenn man sich mal das Test Board und teilweise das Allgemeine Board anschaut fällt (zumindest mir) auf, das sich gerne auch über Dinge unterhalten wird, die nichts mit Illarion zu tun haben. Als Beispiele fallen mir jetzt die Rätsel ein, die Liste mit den Lieblingsbüchern und dem persönlichen Musikgeschmack.

Darum schlage ich die Einrichtung eines Off Topic Boards ein. Dort könnte man sich auch über nützliche Programme, interessante/lustige Websites oder die passende Hintergrundmusik zum Illarion-spielen auslassen, ohne gleich das Allgemeine Board vollzuspamen oder die Befürchtung haben zu müssen, daß die Beiträge nach 2 Tagen wieder weg sind.

If one takes a look at the test board and partially at the main board, one could see that there´s an urge to talk about topics that aren´t related with Illarion. For example the thread about riddles (that was german only), the list of favourite books and the one about the personal music style.

Hence I propose an Off Topic Board. Therein people could talk about usefull programs, funny/interesting websites or the fitting background music for Illarion without spamming the main board or have to fear that their postings get deleted within the next two days.

Tolle Idee! Gibt es auch schon bei vielen (den meisten) anderen Foren...

Ich halte es auch für eine gute Idee.. vor allem wenn man sich so ansieht was man alles auf dem allgemeinem Bord findet

No. The test board is strictly for testing board functions. No one cares right now if you abuse it for off topic discussions, as long as they make sense, but the thread will be deleted soon.

Yes, the test board as far as i know gets deleted everyday if no one posts in the thread.

yea i think that there is a illarion chatroom with mirc, i was gonna go tehre once but my mirc was messed up and now i forgot the servername, and room.

but john we always have our own super chats on IM!

I see no reason why you can't post "Great Books" on the test forum (Yes, i take all the credit for that post), for as long as people are playing Illarion, they aught to learn something and go to the library.

Also, why you making a new post for this? You should have continued off of another of the older posts of the same topic.

Actually I don´t get your point, paul. If you would have read my starting post, you should know why I propose this.
I don´t propose a board were spamming is allowed, but were the community is able to talk about not Illarion related topics.

Nevermind. But why didn't you continue this from another post? I am sure there are many posts about the same topic.

If you are able to show me one... thank you. There once was something like an off topic board on the old website, if I remember right. But since the new site was established, it has gone.

My intention was not to "jibber-jabber", but to share off topic interest.

Hey, at least i put in some effort. But this is a extremely good idea.
