People of Trollsbane
You must prepare i have had news that in 15 days an Orcen army shall have decended on our beloved town.
The reason that i know this is that i have been sent a messenger bird from my good friend Boremier stating the direction these orcs where heading and how far away they where. We must do something about this!

Thankyou
Ezorock

Zerbus had been away for a long time. He moved in the shadows but nevertheless did not forget to observe the ongoings in Trolls Bane. He had been badly injured for the past months and there was no cure to those wounds until recently he discovered a plant that did marvels to his body and mind. Zerbus felt confident again - he could feel all his body juices coming back to him and with it came memory... He remembered now many things and did understand what was going on now. He went into the shop to learn some news and stumbled over a warning... After reading it, he adresses some people of different races...

Halflings...

always faster talking than their mind does the thinking - this is absurd, there will be no such attack. I have lived in that area for a very long period of time...

Dwarfs...

always use bigger words than themselves and let the axe do the talking while their minds do no thinking - you are always prepared, why crying out loud that you are?

with regards,
Zerbus

Elaralith's eyes are caught by this glaring message of violence and hate. She writes in reply:
Why must you all be so fast to judge others? So quick to violence from fear of something alien? I say to you all to put down your weapons of war and use Wisdom who calls always. Wisdom is better than weapons of war, and is the key to peace. Be not so quick to take up arms against orcs if there be any. A passing orc tribe is to be sheltered and welcomed in Trollsbane if they come in peace, and if not they are to be taught with words of counsel to turn them away from their savagery. If we take up arms at the smallest hint of "danger" we are no different from the common and cowardly man who thinks only of his safety and thinks that all others must be evil and their actions to hurt him. I myself will go greet these orcs with any who will choose the path of Wisdom. Welcomed they will be if they even exist to Trollsbane and in no way will their impression of our fair town be marred by what you intend to do and make us appear a bunch of savages who have no tolerance for differences.
Elaralith pins the note with determination and walks off to her prayers.

After you go and talk to them, can we use your limp body as a shield? Nomad orc tribes can mean nothing but trouble. BIG trouble...

@ Zerbus, don't insult my friends or my race. Why don't YOU think before you talk, could save your life one day ...

Nilo Thinks before writing on the parchment

hm.......Im not sure orc are very peaceful. All of the orcs ive ever seen are violent, and will chop your head off if you try to make a peaceful manner with them......I say, We hide our loved ones in the forests, and have all of the warriors come out, and fight them. We can have fronts.

We need all the help we can get here! We need all mages, all rangers, all swordsmen, and all fighting people!!! I can contribute with my wand and mouth.

These orcs MUST be stopped, otherwise, we will all be in grave danger.

@ Elaralith i know you are not one for violence and i respect that truly. But when i have news from a close friend of mine that they where attacked by orcs on there travels and an army of orcs is heading to Trollsbane then i say we have a good reason to take up arms.

Thanks

To Ezo: Such crude and spontaneous actions make me annoyed. Unthought out and un planned this can only lead to doom.
To Grobul, and Nilo: Stop being blinded by your racial prejudices. Have you ever thought that these orcs are not here for violence if they even
exist?
To Paul and Mishrack: Do not take me for some petty charlatan! The power of Elara is strong within me, if the orcs have murderous thoughts they will find that Justice shall be meted out without compassion.

And again you people only discuss this nonsense, imagine there was a real Orc army heading towards your town...you would probably still be standing there and discuss while they damage everything...

I do admit, words can sting more than any arrow sometimes, but you will have to no words to say if you have no head to say them with!

My dear fellow Hermie,

@Elaralith- They are real I saw them... So dont come around with AAhh may the power of Elara shine through... Because when they come the power of Elara wont save you... It will come down to a Wepon and Shield...

Hmm....I havn't been in Illarion for a while now,out doing what Lizards do,so,do you think this may errupt into a War? Just a question,so no one has to get angry at me.

I have seen many orcs. Only few of them are really "evil". Most of them only attack when they are threatened or when hunger drives them.
But there are also honorious tribes, who worship Malachín and live in peace with everyone who is not their enemy.

Don't declare war on them out of suspect. They deserve to be treated the way they wish to treat us.

you think this land is worth your life then i pity you it disgusts me how you are all so shallow and stereotypical you all need to learn their is no such thing as good and bad its just two sides with different views

Posted: Sat Mar 01, 2003 8:53 pm
by paul laffing
But our side is right. So you're saying that we should be nice little people, elves, dwarves, and hobbits and give up our land so that the orcs will be happy? You can do that, but i shall stand for my land.

but how do you know your side is the right one thats YOUR view on the situation you need to be open minded and you misunderstood me, fine if the town is attacked then with all means fight back but their is no need to cause mindless panic and warmongering and be sure not to persecuted a person for their race i dont wnat to see any good people slaughtered just for their race

i ask why should we welcome a band of smelly orcs passing through our town, its not our fault they want to come here, if they want free room and board they should search elsewhere.

Let's act defensively. IF they were to attack, my clan would make an attempt to assassinate the most vital targets. I won't die for Trollsbane, but I'll die for my mission.

So..there are orks comming. How many?, those of you who say you have seen them. Do they come with babes and females? If so then they are more than likely to be traveling through.

A nomad group and a war mob are easily identified appart.
A decent scout should be sent out, to gather information such as numbers, intentions, genral behaviour and supplies of these 'nomads.'

As much as I am peaceful man, if it is a war mob, when the orks are in the town slaying men, enslaving their woman and smashing babes skulls with stones, your words wont save you.

We should fight for our town and our people. Thos who disagree about fighting and protecting your loved ones, leave and live in the forest, do not use the shop, do not use what the town has to offer.
Do not come back to morn for the dead you onced loved for they will not love you back.

What is a man or woman if he/she does not fight for what they believe in, for their dreams. Its not about fighting over simple land, its about fighting to protect what everybody has achieved, weather it be a tavern an inn a family a child.

If the orks are friendly, welcome them with open arms and words of love, if they are hostile, kill them like they would kill you.

I'm not so sure about boarding any foreign ... creatures, for lack of a better term. Always be afraid of treachery, for it is an effective weapon, or so i have learned.
