Is there a way to find out how much an item costs before you buy it.
Or find out how much it will sell for before you sell it?

Is this something that is being worked on or is planned for the future?

There is a way of finding out how much something costs though it's not great. Make sure you dont have any money with you then try to buy the item. The shopkeeper will helpfully, and loudly, proclaim that you dont have 'X' amount of gold. As to the selling I dont know of a way.

Simply assume the item will sell for 10 times less than you would want it to when selling to the shopkeeper
