I made an .exe file that contains the more common old illarion tiles, the interface is also changed back to the tan theme. You just download the .zip and extract it to your illarion directory. I haven't thouroughly tested it yet so be warned, also the .exe seems about 2 MB smaller than the origional for some reason. You should backup your old illarion.exe before you replace it. The pictures are on the news post on my site. Private Message me with problems, comments or suggestions. Or you can email me.

Are you sure that Bror will be happy seeing you recompile his client? It's something different to make some graphics which the user puts into his directory or telling how to modify the names.dat so the old names work again. Modifying the exe file directly and then making it available to others is a clear copyright violation and theft of Bror's intellectual property afaik.

Well sorry I didn't mean it that way, but I will take the files down until I know its alright. I just replaced some graphics. I just put them into the client instead of leaving them in the directory.

And now that I think of it Bror doesn't like us changing graphics in the directory either. And keep in mind that it was just the way I did it, if I knew it made all that much difference I wouldn't have.

Yes, I believe I posted a while back in some thread that it was never intended for end users (you) to change the client/graphics and it would be disabled in the future.

So please don't do it.

Once we start getting support issues with someone's client no longer working correctly or whatever because they downloaded someone's patch that didn't work, or installed it wrong, etc.. things will get a little more... insistant.

Doesn't matter if it doesn't work because they installed it wrong or it was made wrong, we don't have the time/resources to support these things.

I have to agree with Salathe. The ONLY things i dont like are the forest ground, mining ground, And the interface. Everything else is ok to me.

Yes for me its basicaly the ground tiles in the new client...they 'im my opinion' are terrible. The old onese were very good.
Tho it was said they were to photo realistic...but then...arnt most of the other main graphics to?

There isn't much else that changed.

I agree with Serpardum, the graphics should be locked even if most people don't like them.

I really think this should be locked at this point as I am not allowed to distribute the client i added graphics to.

He didn't mean the forum shoudl be locked, but the graphics shoudl be locked. so that you can't modify/distribute hte in game graphics.
