I was just wondering where/how I learn a vocation? I was interested in becoming a ranger and have NO idea where todo that...
Also, a question about skills: I noticed under the Druid vocation, the ability "Ident item" is listed. can this skill also be learned by someone in anotehr vocation and if so, how?

Don't trust anything it says on the website. Most of those are things that are planned for the future. As for being a ranger, just attain the items you'd think a ranger would have. Or if you wanted to be in the 'Ranger guild' you could take a look at the homepage which is at
http://members.shaw.ca/astral1/main.htm.

yep, you could talk to Elaraith, she is a priestess for Elara. You gotta act it and do sacrifices and pray, but its not a real skill yet.

@ Brechton:
Elaralith is the name of a character in Illarion, which is played as a elven priestess of Elara.
Elara is the godess of wisdom.
For the gods, have a look at
Backgroundhistory.

Why does everyone associate monk with kung fu fighter?
As far as I remember monks in medieval europe were people who dedicated their life to God, with hard work, praying and spreading the words of the holy bible. Even the Shao Lin only learned martial arts to defend themselves from robbers and warlords who roamed the lands around their temple.
